1. I wish you guys would get this straight. His attorney is/was working on getting him in a pretrial diversion program for his actions in that case. Innocent people don't volunteer for such programs. Was is a huge deal? Nope, but to suggest he is somehow completely innocent and had no knowledge is BS. If that was true, what's this pretrial diversion program all about? Can I join?
  2. i am not saying boot rp, because i do not know what the real story is, but i do question his judgement off the field. minor distractions and problems all the time, while not significant on their own, add up to show what may be, imo, a lack of maturity.

while he may have talent and players may follow that, there is another side. how effective a leader can he be if the players do not know if he is going to even be there for them next week because he has pulled some bone-headed move to get suspended for a game? i am concerned that if not now, sooner or later, his off-field distractions (if they continue) are going to start factoring into his leadership abilities on the field.

i honestly do not know what should be done. i do know that coach miles is going to have access to a lot of evidence, interviews, and facts that we don't. i trust him to do what is right.

  3. He used a twenty dollar bill to buy gas. His brother gave him the twenty dollars. His brother has been sentenced to three years probation and was fined.

Whether he had knowledge of the money being fake or not, he was still guilty of using counterfeit money. The pretrial diversion program would have allowed him to do community service and have his criminal record cleared.
  4. You are missing the point. It is not illegal to unknowingly pass a counterfeit bill.

  5. Enough said as far as I'm conerned. Time to move on. Got it ?
  6. Just because RP says he did not know it was counterfeit, that does not make it true. I, however, believe the kid. However, it was never determined in a court of law whether or not he knowingly or unknowingly passed the bill.

His brother pleaded guilty and the case never went to trial. So RP should have gone to trial over this? He had two options to clear his name. Have a very public trial or do community service. Hmmmmmmmmm.............. wonder what you would pick?

He was willing to do community service and assure his record remain clear. Rather than go to trial himself. Would you rather have seen a trial? How exactly would you have wanted it to play out?
  7. So the feds railroaded him? Falsely accused him of a crime? And his attorney caved into this false allegation fearing a trial? I got it now.

Poor RP. Everyone is out to get him, probably because if his skin color. The feds, traffic cops, casino security, BRDP, bouncers, bar owner. Man, he can't catch a break!
  8. Oh I see, can't win the debate so now you resort to crudeness?

Who said he was railroaded? Who said he was falsely accused? Nobody said his attorney caved in.

Why are you playing the race card? What exactly is your problem here?

You seem to have some personal agenda. What's the real scoop with you?

  9. I think all of this crap is absurd.I want LSU football to develop into a national contender year in and year out. When it gets to the point that one player can make that big of a difference in the success of the programthat's when I begin to worry.I don't think that is the case at this time.
  10. Read the police report.

People who defend bad apples b/c they want them to play on their football team.

I'm providing facts, something you, as a moderator, should encourage.
