In his quest to get rid of Les, Alleva actually has empowered him. For instance, the recruiting class- we'll probably rebound on that- not sure about #1 class but we'll land on our feet, but let's say we don't- complete meltdown. Les can get up at the Bayou Bash and tell all the retirees 'Gee, things looked pretty good with these kids in early November. I guess hanging me out to dry for for two weeks didn't help much.' Miles after a crappy season actually ends up with a hall pass for 2016. Only Duke Alleva could screw the pooch this much. My guess is he had some help though - from some dumb ass with deep pockets who doesn't know dick about how to land a better coach.
i think we are all in agreement nothing really changes. However I don't see any scenario where Cam Cameron is brought back. So who is the "offensive coordinator" next year? Who is going to be the figurehead that sits in the box and pretends to be the OC? Also, will Peveto be back not that he has anything to do with offense? Probably with a raise too if I had to guess. Steele will no doubt be back, as will Grimes. But who will be the "OC"?
It will have to be someone willing to be Miles patsey. It will either be another washed up old has been looking to pad his retirement or some young unknown looking to pad his resume. Either way you're getting the same old shit on Saturdays.
I think it matters because of the position Alleva has put LSU in. I mean seriously, who is going to want to come for what they perceive to be a temp job?
Change is not a word you associate with Les Miles. You're getting the same old shit, sit back and enjoy it.
