lol its a little harder getting top recruiting classes when you had a decade of football futility. its a tad easier when a program just won a couple of SEC titles and a NC. its apples and tomatoes. much of this is the fruits of one man's labors. not the other way around. you'll know what type of recruiter miles is in a couple years after he has established and supplanted his own ideals. he did pretty well at OSU. LSU is a different animal altogether.
It's no secret that I am not at all impressed with Miles. That being said, it is a good thing for the LSU athletic administraion that Miles was named to this list. And I am also glad for him. Like someone else suggested earlier in this thread, just because I do not think he is a great coach, does not mean I hate the guy. I respect him, and appreciate his passion for the game. If by some miracle he does win the award, he should just break it into pieces and give it to the defense, Joe Addai, and Jamarcus Russell. Their athletic ability and will to win have got us the 6 wins, the nominee got us our one loss. I do make this promise, if we beat Alabama next week, I will give Miles props. Because it will take a well coached game to win. I don't think we can go down there and win with adlibbed plays, and 4th down TD tosses. Congrats to him on the nomination.
Well, never said he was an idiot, at least not that I remember, It is possible though. Win or lose I am not the type to flip a lightswitch and all the sudden think he is great. Just my honest opinion. I'll give credit where credit is due, so far haven't had to do so. I hope he proves me wrong and makes me look like the one that is missing something.
