no disrespect but what he says to the media really don't mean a thing. the man has never answered a question straight up until he had to. That being said if he is being quiet to help out UM, then he answered to only way he could. I myself also take more stock into what the players are saying he told them then his answer to some reporter.
Yup, that was an odd response, even for Miles! Funny, I've gone from wanting him canned after the Tennessee debacle to having a knot in my stomach at the though of him leaving. Why can't I quit you, Les Miles?!?!
If the reporter had asked him to explain Einstein's theory of relativity I could understand the pause. He was asked point blank if he was going to be the LSU football coach in 2011. He had difficulty answering the question in my opinion.
And why wouldn't he? Seems most coaches would've proudly said they were staying...if they were or knew for sure, no?
I was thinking yesterday that the Cotton Bowl was too similar to his final OSU game, with the way we started flat, and the way the defense stayed that way for the most part. I was hoping I was wrong, but I'm not seeing it so far.
Why would he back himself into a corner without knowing what Michigan is offering? Miles got crapped on all year by a lot of so called fans. He doesn't give a rat's ass about them now, nor should he. You reap what you sow.
maybe it is just that he doesn't know for sure and instead of doing what all the other coaches do "lie" and say they will be back when they know they won't he took the claasy approach. maybe he also wants to listen to UM and if he says no on tv they dont call. Who knows there are alot of reason to answer the question and alot of reasons not to. We dont know what is going through his head. Only thing we can do is follow along and see what happens. As of now he is our coach and only looks as if UM has expressed interest in meeting w/ him. Its a waiting game that none of us want to play but seems that we must play.
