1. Saban didn't blame the players everytime so far miles is 2 for 2.

I am the biggest LSU homer out there, I'm not trying to dog Miles I want him to lead us to victory as bad as every other LSU homer. But when its obvious that the head guy on the sidelines is befuddeled 90% of the time and then he comes back and takes no blame what else can you say?
  2. clair - if you don't think this loss was because of coaching - you've got a lot to learn about football
  3. The coaching was far from great, but to put the loss squarly on coaching isn't fair. We don't fumble the ball twice on decent drives and we likely put the game out of reach and we aren't even having this discussion.
  4. we're not trying to say that blame is on the coaches 100%. We are saying that we lost the game because of the decisions our coaches made (1st half vs. 2nd half)
  5. But if our PLAYERS execute a little better, this is all a dead issue...

  6. if your aunt had balls.

  7. You can not reason with some of the posters here. All they see is Miles is not Saban and 2 games into the season is enough for them to call for his head.

And if we win out the season SOME of these same people will be in line to kiss Miles ass. Thats the way some LSU fans work, I have come to understand that.
  8. This statement is ridiculous. Our players didn't execute better, its a moot point. IF you make excuses for OUR players then you can also make excuses for TENN's players. IF their receivers had any hands in the first half ... the game is much closer at the half. IF that one receiver who caught the ball around the forty five (COMPLETELY wide open) had been lead correctly, thats another TENN score. Worrying about "What if's" works both ways.

Could our team have played better? Certainly! Could Tennessee have played better? Most definitely. The bottom line is that when you have a situation in which BOTH teams underperform at certain times, the COACHES and not the PLAYERS must take the brunt of the blame. I'm not on here to harangue Miles or call for his head, but HE must ultimately be held responsible for the massive failure of the team in the game.

I think that he could still do very well here, but he needs to address his own deficiencies before blaming his players... or at least shoulder SOME of the blame.

Here's to a more successful nine games and a better coached football team.

    Geaux Tigers!
  9. if UT players play better they kill us.

they made more mistakes than we did-more drops, more penalties, same turnovers. came down to qb play and systems.

  10. he's made huge mistakes two weeks in a freakin row. How many weeks is it gonna take for him and pellini to realize that it's not working.

Secondly, how many passes did Tennessee drop that, IMO, would have been touchdowns???
