I mean in the coaching staff, clown. I mean, I'm sure they KNOW that they need to adjust, but it would make me feel a lot better if someone took responsibility for the situation other than blaming it on the players. It was obvious to everyone that it was more than that, and that a simple adjustment will not, and cannot fix the problems we all saw against ass state.
Zone and soft coverage (keeping everything in front) will not work. LSU has the studs to play man coverage and bring heat on opposing QBs. ASU had one really serious threat at WR, Hagan, where we needed a little help from the safety on coverage. All this "Keller" love is nauseating. Of course, we made him look like a world-beater with "ZERO PRESSURE". I seem to remember an OSU QB in here last year that was a world-beater also. Both Tennessee and Florida have better QBs than Keller in Ainge & Leak whether anyone here wants to admit it or not right now. Clausen starting, IMO, is just a slick Phat Phil ruse for Florida. Fulmer is one true slimebag, and the game against UAB was probably just a ruse. Ainge will play most of that game, you heard it here first. Ainge will start against LSU. Book it! Other SEC teams will bring good WR corps to Baton Rouge. Both Tennessee & Florida have Top 10 WR corps as good as or better than ASU's. Tennessee's Meacham & Swain combination are arguably as good as our own guys. And, Florida's Baker & Jackson are right there and could give Urban Meyer the mismatch he needs to be successful against LSU on the deep post routes. Pellini better get this point and play defense using LSU strengths and talent to bring the heat (Saban ball) and throw his dinosaur zone and "tepper ball" schemes in the can where they belong. I saw dandydon posting his "damage control" LSU homer nonsense about Pelini on his website yesterday and how good Pelini did last season at Oklahoma, especially against Texas and other Big 12 teams on OU's "easy road". Well, dandy never mentions the USC stomping that OU took. I say Pellini is a "mixed bag". So far, I'm not impressed one damn bit. Tennessee & Florida will come to Tiger Stadium and light the house up with the passing game! LSU better be ready to stick to 'em for 60 minutes.
OU's secondary leaked like bum faucet last season. No one in the Big 12 other than Texas Tech had a superb passing game to exploit this. OU was just able to out score other teams. The OU leaky defense had its weakness fully exploited by a real passing team in USC. The Big 12 last season was weak in comparison to the current SEC. Big 12 North was pitiful so OU breezed through the championship game and UT was the only real threat to them last season. That in comparison to the SEC the last 2 years is nothing and this style of defense will not work. I've never seen a lack of varying play calling in my life as I did in the ASU game. I swear there were 3 plays called on defense. 2 of the plays were called on the last drive where they blitzed the LB's.
:hihi: Anytime, Marine. I been a bit windy lately, guess it's the week off and the tension waiting for the Vols to roll in here.
