That's what the ":hihi:"was for. Cause it was a joke. I get tired of the coach bashing and the people telling you not to coach bash. I get it though
ESPN even called Mack Browns almost lost "1 second moment" when McCoy lofted the ball out of bounds, a "Miles Meltdown". CLM"s gonna have to live with this for a long time. When he gambles and wins he looks good. But when he gambles and loses, well, we're on him like a pack of hounds. I think he and we will get through it. I keep thinking, should have that been us (with Periloux) 12-0 (after beating bama) and florida losing to us and us going to the dance again?
Making complaints doesnt make you disloyal. Disloyal is when you leave early in a close game. Thats just pathetic. As a fan I want to see the best product out there. If I dont see it I have the right to complain. I go to games, buy merchandise, etc.
Nope I continued my feelings and post about Miles even after the Arky win! I LOATH Saban for what he did...integrity goes a long way with me...must be those core values boot camp pounded into me. But I dont like Miles either...and for the record I took a nap through the SECC game and didnt make my post until I was watching Bo shut up the UT fans! Miles is not the type of coach we need if we want to compete for the SECC EVERY SINGLE SEASON which is not a out of this world request!! I wonder if all the Miles LOVERS would be so Loveydubbie HAD PITT NOT BEATEN West Virgina in 07!!!
My friend, the devil's in the details. A few points. An isolated malconent here and there, no biggie. But when the negativity becomes as widespread as it has been much of this season, then the fans who disagree with the bashers can and should speak their minds. Likewise, nothing wrong with constructive critcism or legitimate criticism. But again, fans who disagree that the criticism is constructive or legit, can and should speak their minds. When LSU didnt hammer the Huskies in game 1, lots and lots of pissin&moaning about Miles. Wonder if USC fans were calling for Pete Carrol to be fired after each of his annual 'USC loses to pitiful competition costing them a chance at the NC" game. We had people here demanding after game 3 (LSU 3 wins, no losses) that Miles be fired. Crazy. Crazy. Crazy. Finally, many of the Miles bashers keep giving us the "Its got nothing to do with Saban" song&dance routine. But the spike in negativity here after Bama's win yesterday argues otherwise.
Talk about whining. Saban left us for our rival. boo hoo. The apologists want to ignore the facts of coaching and stick with loyalty, loves LSU (we all love LSU) that is why we are having a heated debate. I'll take a SOB of a coach that wins titles and puts us in a position to win titles than a "good guy who loves LSU". The truth is CLM is a good coach. He will get us close to 8-10 wins a year going forward. That will make us second tier behind Alabama and Florida.
Yeah, Saban is such a good coach that he was a joke at Miami and lost to Utah (I didnt even know they played football in Utah) in their Bowl Game last year. How many years since Saban last won a bowl game? And Meyers? He couldnt repeat despite having almost everybody back. Yea, Miles can never beat those guys. Except when he did. Except when he will. To consistently win against top 10 teams, LSU needs a stud QB.
I think talent played a much bigger role in LSU's success rather than Miles. Miles was not suited up on the field making tackles. I think people are irritated because a coach that's getting paid 4 mil a year should utilize all of the talent to its maximum potential. Do you honestly think that our team couldn't possibly improve anymore than they are now. And if not, then it is just a matter of talent vs talent in these games. [edit] quoted the wrong one but you get the point [edit]
Chase, I do not understand your logic. You begin your post by saying LSU won because of talent, not Miles. You end your post by saying people are angry because Miles doesnt get enough out of the talent. Hell, lets just fire him right now. When he wins its because of the talent, not the coaching, and when he loses its because of the coach, not the talent. Miles is screwed. With that logic he's got as much chance of surviving as a pound of crawfish in a roomfull of fat men.
