Nick said yesterday in locker room before practice I confronted Courtney Upshaw on his grades , "You’re failing math. If you don’t want to become academically ineligible you’ll have to answer these math questions correctly." Courtney agrees and I ask him "What does 4 plus 4 equal?” "Eleven” says Upshaw. The rest of the team pleads, “give him another chance! give him another chance!” Then I ask, "What does 2 plus 2 equal?" and the Courtneyr says "Four". The rest of the team yells give him another chance! give him another chance!”
Because Les doing good still takes away from the "prestige" that Saban was the only good thing about LSU.
Growing up in a coach's household, this is, for the most part, true. However, there were special situations where the coaches are truly rivals and do not like each other at all. There's every possibility in the world that this sort of relationship is true of Saban and Miles.
They probably respect one another, but I will bet it is mostly one sided as Nick does not like to be second fiddle to anyone. Miles has replaced Nick in the hearts of many LSU fans and he has won over their loyatly. I am sure this hurts Saban's ego as his legacy will soon be forgotten due to CLM dominance. :miles:
What's it gonna be like when lsu beats bama in the dome? What about next season in tiger stadium ? I bet saban will hate miles after that if he doesn't already. Think of the storyline when college gameday comes to baton rouge next season. Talk about a gruge match.
There's more of a rivalry between LSU fans and football, vs bama fans and football team, than their is between the two coaches. Both are very good coaches, with alot of respect for each other. Now we can't say that about the fans and teams, tehy really really don't like each other!
