I just meant that whether Saban would have gotten Perrilloux or not we probably would have been fine. When people talk about one player like LSU would have been punchless without him, I really wonder if they know what is important.

Well, I guess Miles coached Saban's players better in 2005 than Saban did in 2004...when a vast majority of the starters played for both. Saban was 9-3. Miles, 11-2.

The ship has just hit an iceberg. Will take 1 year to sink. We very well might salvage this year's season by running the table, but based on what I see, I think we lose to UT and might lose to Ark which we all know it is a very tough place to win. With that said, this season will be marked as a disapointment and I can't see it getting any better considering that this will be the most talented team that Miles will have.

Iceberg? I don't see Kate Winslet around here do you? LSU lost to a Top 5 team on the road.

As for the "Most Talented Miles will ever have", Does 4 Star Zhamal Thomas have as much potential as 2 Star OL Peter Dyakowski? Jai Eugene or Chevis Jackson? Charles Scott/Keiland Williams/Richard Murphy or Jacob Hester/JV/ Alley Broussard? What about Big Al Woods? Don't you think he might have a terrific future ahead at LSU?

I agree, we have many good years ahead of us. I can't wait to see those guys get on the field.

Everyone take a deep breath. We lost to 2 good football teams and people are calling for Les' head on a stick. The first game was questionable with bad calls from the zebras, this game the domino's just fell against LSU. I think this last game was a wake up call for Les and the players. With these losses and the schedule we have for next year, I wouldn't be surprised if we made a run at a NC.

Les isn't a second notch coach. Everyone is just in love with Saban for bringing a NC to LSU. Considering what all Les brought our team thru last year with the Katrina debacle, I am willing to think he will turn the ship around.

Atleast we didn't blow our NC shot to an un-ranked Ark team like AU did. We lost to 2 national ranked/respected teams. Calm down people!

I hate this argument. Saban went out on a down year, and had rough seasons every even year. Doesn't change the fact that what he accomplished is superior to what Miles has accomplished to date. Not that Miles can't do well, I just don't understand the Saban bashing.

And I think it's a little early to be talking about next season's NC. Talk like that will just lead to disappointment. Only one team wins the whole shebang.

Next year will tell the tale of the Les Miles era at LSU. Even though I still haven't forgotten it, I'll throw out the meltdown against UT last year. Given the circumstances, a one loss regular season is nothing to be ashamed of and harshly judge a coach for, and he got us to the SECCG, so he should get a ton of credit for that. The failure to show up in the conference championship is what gripes me the most to this point. But the excuse can be made it was his first trip to the championship and it was a learning process. The excuse can also be made that this is his first true season on the road in the SEC against top level competition every week. Miles will not be fired after two seasons, so I'm content to sit back and watch things play themselves out and not stress about it either way. Next year though, it's put up or shut up in my book. With a senior qb and the schedule swinging back in our favor, the learning curve and time for excuses will be over. Let the judgement of Miles begin Septmeber 1, 2007, and I think nothing less that a trip to Atlanta with a good showing there, win or lose, should be expected.

It is like everywhere else. When you try and replace a coach that has won big the replacement will never live up to expectations. Les is a very good coach but he does not use his talent well. A lot of you are saying that Alley is washed up but how many carries has he had in each of the games. If you look at the past when Alley would carry the ball 15-20 times he would have a good game. A running back cannot get into the flow of the game carrying only 8 times total. I feel that Les should pick a running back a see what he can do trying to carry the ball 15-20 times. I hope Les can break the cycle of trying to be Saban. Just my opinion.

OK, it's Tuesday morning...I thought the crying and whining would have settled down by now(I was wrong!).

I was very disappointed in the team's performance on Saturday. Do I blame it all on Miles? NO. Should I? No. Sometimes players just don;t make the plays. Did you guys ever play any TEAM sports? You win as a team, and you lose as a team(ask TO). Miles didn't fumble the snap to JR, he didn't muff the punt OR the kickoff for that matter. As for the interceptions, hell most of you have been BEGGING for Jimbo to open up the offense and 'stop trying to run soooo much'...well you got your wish and you don't look like too smart a coach right now do you.

I swear I think alot of you people just wait for something bad to happen so you can bitch about the coach. Well, go to the archive and listen to what alot of people said about Saban.(alot of the same things...especially after the loss to UAB). That and you always want the opposite of what the coaches are doing. When Mauck was QB, everyont wanted MR, then you got MR and wanted JR, now you got JR and you want Perrillioux or Flynn. When are running the ball, you're mad that we don't open it up. Well, we threw alot against UF and here we are again..."The sky is falling, the sky is falling..." Relax, and enjoy the wins. In the SEC, it will not happen every week, I don't care who your coach is.

By the way we have another game coming up, the 24 hours of crying over the loss should be over by now.
