You could say the same thing about Petrino... I would rather have D then O... any coach can score points with our RB and WR, but better safe than sorry.

That's what I'm preaching brother!! The SEC and in particular, LSU, needs Mike Leach. The Big XII just can't handle a coach of that caliber, he is underappreciated.:yelwink2:

Leach is a good coach. His spread style of offense doesn't require a balanced offense. If you want a balanced offense, Leach is not your man.

His spread offense is not easy to defend either unless you have great athletes on your team. A lot of the yards gained in his offense are after the catch short passes. There is a lot more running than you think. His spread offense resembles a running attack in a lot of ways.

My only gripe about Leach is that he needs to put as much emphasis on his defense as he does his offense.

    Petrino ... Petrino ... Petrino

Just another "Big Ears" in the making ... NO INTEGRITY :dis:

Someone has Petrinoed in the punch bowl ... I won't drink the Kool-Aid

Wake up ... Offensive & Defensive schemes mutate and are in a state of constant flux ... defense being the horse Saban rode in on and stayed on

If you wanna think "inside the box" ... that's fine ... you're safe and sound in your 2003 Crystal room ... I can't knock that

But there are other ways to play FB ... YOU NEED NOT FEAR CHANGE

Our offense in 2004 looked like they had a stick up their azzes most of the season ...

OUR SYSTEM LOOKS LIKE IT NEEDS AN OVERHAUL ... OR MAYBE JUST A COACH THAT WILL LEAVE JIMBO ALONE ... I DUNNO THERE

:geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux:

Amazing fact about 2004 LSU FB ... I've never seen a more balanced (statistically) team in the HISTORY OF NCAA FB) 200R+200P=BALANCED "O"

Is that a coincidence or the work of a "madman"

(Was Jimbo free to choose his own style of offense ... I think not)

:geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux:

As an ex-coach (playground ball for 3 years) my teams won with tough dee and BIG PLAY PASSING ... that was eighteen years ago and I coached ten-twelve year olds ... we passed to set up the run and kicked everybody's azz (lost 1 game) ... I never had so much fun in my entire life

Just saying it can be done ... and you can have it all

We know what he's doing with a spread offense Peabody

The same thing Mumme did in the 90's that we faced against KY.

They never had the dee to beat you ... but always won or took good teams to the wire ... WITH INFERIOR TALENT

If Leach had a dee ... he'd stomp a mudhole in your azz every year

You guys are scared to ****ing death to play this guy every year because of the points he throws up on the boards.

If he came to LSU and had the great BALANCED recruiting he needed ... and our patented TOUGH AS NAILS DEE (I'll let you & Frankenstein White blow the horn there) LSU FB could become a FEARSOME ANIMAL.

Leach deserves a good look from the skipper ... 550K per year

I'll bet those redraiders are hustling to sweeten his pot as we speak
