1. That was a major league hit. My buddy and I looked at each other and said we'll take that 15 yards 'cause after that hit, Tui will hear LSU coming all night long. Based on the first two games, this is the one of the best LSU teams I've ever seen - better than 2003. The only question is whether they can carry it all the way like in '03. Next week will tell us a lot. :geauxtige
  2. Only people accustomed to watching Pac 10 football would even raise a question about that hit. The rest of the country calls it a football play, no reality series-worthy drama needed.

  4. I'm not sure if it was intentional or not, but it definately served notice. Because it happened on the first play, the fans (myself included) who were emotional about the pre-game disrespect probably like to think that there was some small measure of payback there.

As for the concussion, Red is right. If Tuitama suffered it on that play, then why leave him in for 2 more quarters and risk further injury? It was a face-saveing response so his young QB wouldn't have to face questions about being yanked for poor performance.
  5. I watched it over and think it had to be called, it doesn't matter if it was intentional or not or if he hit the helmet first or not. It was helmet to helmet and had to be called by the ref. I loved the hit though.:)
