Yeah I see. So you are more closely aligned with Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid or Al Franken or Alec Baldwin or Barbra Streisand or Michael Moore or Hillary Clinton or Blanco or Nagin or Bin Laden. I see.

I already knew this but thanks for more clearly expressing it.

I agree. On the surface is looks like a bad decision. It is all perception that a lot of people are reacting to. I really believe there's more than meets the eye that we don't know about. On the flip side of the coin, if the administration were to block the deal, it can be perceived by the Arab countries(including UAE) who have been cooperating with the US that the US inherently do not trust the Arab countries; then what effect can that have on the US having any further foothold or support at the Arabian peninsula? Seems like the administration is stuck between a rock and a hard place.

There was a security expert who was interviewed on , I think , NBC this mornng who was also saying that that should not affect the security in any way.

What do you all think of Dubai Ports World's donation of 100 million dollars to Katrina relief efforts a couple of months ago?

It didn't happen. The UAE gave $100M.

And I think that donation is incredible and goes beyond any expectation I would have of any foreign country. I also think its importance pales in comparison to our national security.

    Seriously?

That's like giving the Postal Service credit for our relief dollars for the tsunami.

Actually, I have been to Bahrain. I believe it is generally considered the most westernized Arab state. But I agree that Iraq was one of the most westernized in terms of its culture. Unfortunately it was run by a mad man.

Wrong. It is owned by the UAE.
