Except for the last line why doesn't this excite me? I guess I hate looking for coaches after success as much as after losers.

I think Butch Davis would let Crowton go and bring Larry Coker.

Man I hope you're right about the first two. If that does happen....the third will probably follow. Question is, who do you call up to replace Pellini?

contracts mean absolutely nothing. ask petrino this time last year after he just signed a lifetime deal with the cards. 2 days later "leavin' on a jetplane".

buh-bye slaton. his stock will never be higher after the NC game. he has a good shot to be the mvp also.

WVU junior running back submits paperwork to be evaluated. Story by Scott Grayson

MORGANTOWN -- The West Virginia Mountaineers have two games left this season, and they know one of those games will be against Pitt and the oher potentially could be the National Championship game.
Those also could be the final two games of Steve Slaton's college career.
Slaton has an impressive resume: The junior is WVU's career rushing touchdown leader at 50 and counting. He also is the NCAA active career touchdown leader with 55.
Slaton has topped the century rushing mark in a game 21 times in 31 starts.
He also holds the single-season rushing record at WVU, and the accolades go on and on.
Slaton said he will test the NFL waters and that he has filled out his paperwork to be evaluated by NFL scouts.

That group of assistants he's assembled, he'd probably bring the whole bunch.

Headlines several months from now "And so begins the Steve Spurrier era at LSU"...Shi**y timing on the "allowing to talk" faze. Then again, no ones really done us many favors this year. Including ourselves!

Seriously...when are they supposed to allow him to talk? They are waiting until after the SECC game. We don't WANT them to decide much later than that, dude. We need to find a coach if he goes...but quick. No need to wait til after whatever bowl we're in is over.:nope:
