Re: Saban really coming back to LSU?

It's a done deal, Saban is coming back. There's going to be a 10million dollar buyout clause in his contract in BR so no College or NFL team will EVER be able to touch him. In addition, he's taking a small paycut to come come back here as a sign of good faith. The 10million dollar buyout clause supposedly won over Bertman and also, Saban's wife hates Tuscaloosa and has been wanting to come back to BR for a long time.

Don't ask for my source, i'm not giving it as the person was sworn to secrecy. Let's just say, come Monday, an atomic bomb will go off in Tuscaloosa and the Tigers get back their National Title Coach on a permanent basis. :crystal:

If Spurrier is offered this job he,ll jump on it like a frog on a lillypad! BTW, you don't find it the least bit interesting that Spurrier's old boss at UF, is now at LSU..."duh"...do the math people!!!! Like it or not, if he's offered the Tiger job he'll be outa SC within 24 hours!!!! Of course, nothings a "sure" thing, but this is as close as it gets!

Being a vested state employee has nothing to do with coaching searches. You can purchase the last year...

    :dis:

I would want my name held in secrecy as well if I told you that.

    BS!

While everyone keeps throwing out these fairy tale names, lets add Barry Switzer, Jimmy Johnson, Terry Bowden...etc

If everything I have read is anywhere near true, the SEC west will have 5 teams with new coaches.

    1. ARK.. get rid of HN, hire TT
    2. AU... lose TT... hire ?
    3. LSU.. lose LM ... Hire NS, SS ?
    4. OM. Fire O ... hire HN
    5. UA.. Lose NS? ... hire ?
    6. MS.. Keep what they got to stay in the cellar!

So what? Who cares what he says on his board. Two men in a CEO meeting wouldn't expose themselves at the round table but when they get up for a break and walk to the restroom, they have no discomfort whipping it out and urinating in the same room (Diferent urinal, btw). :)

Point being, different settings call for different perspectives- you wouldn't challenge him like that over there and he wouldn't tolerate it either.

He's been a good guest here as far as I can recall.

Thanks, I try to be a good guest. I linked the thread.....I wasn't dissing LSU, just obliquely pointing out what frequent coaching changes can do for a program.
