If anyone says they see Dennis Franchione in BR, I'm gonna have to take a long walk on a short pier. :hihi:

Thanks for everything, Coach Miles. All and all, it's been three good years. LSU!

Why? He's fixing to play for the NC at his alma mater, and he didn't have to play hardly anyone to get there. LSU played nine bowl eligible teams this year, ended up physically and mentally exausted, lost two games in triple overtime and the fans are ready to string up the coaches.

Why the hell would he leave WV for that?

This has been the most exhausting college football season I've ever seen. And it's just now getting to the exciting part.

I've always followed college football. Lived and died by it, you might say. And I just can't recall being so wrung out emotionally at the end of any year as I am now with a few weeks left.

It's been the best of times and the worst of times, as Chuck Dickens would say. The best highs, the lowest lows and more excitement in the games than us old farts really need. How many heart-pounding games have we had this year?

More than our quota, I'll promise you that. Now, close, exciting, last minute games can be a wonderful thing. But I don't remember ever having a season where they were the rule rather than the exception.

Just once this year, I'd like to see the Tigers take hold of a game against a worthy opponent and just run away with it. I mean just give 'em a good old country ass whuppin' for four quarters.

It might not be high drama, but I sure would like to see a Virginia Tech-like game again this year. This week would be a good time for it. I'm too tired to go through another week after a nail-biter.

And we haven't even added the coaching drama into the mix. If we did that, I'd be too tired to even think any more. So I'm trying to stay away from the forum and from the whole coaching story. I'm not going to change anything by wondering. All I'll do is keep myself all worked up over who's coming and who's going.

I'll just watch the game on Saturday and then check the news on Sunday afternoon. But I'm trying to keep my head out of it. I think I'm reaching the bursting point.

    Anyone else feeling a bit fatigued? :eek:ldskule: :eek:ldskule: :eek:ldskule:
