    That's what I'm saying.

Another thing (and this has already been said 100 times), enjoy it while its good. We won't win 10 or 11 games a season forever.

I'm not saying we should go bankrupt in trying to keep CLM around, but let's be carefull what we wish for. We could very well be in the position that Nebraska, FSU, Miami, or even worse: Ole Miss, in just a few short years if we bring the wrong coach(s) in.

Let's love the girl we're with, and if she decides she doesn't want us anymore, we can always find another one!

I understand if miles wants to go.............this would be his dream job. i wish him well if he goes. If he meets with UM and tells them thanks but no thanks, i am fine if he stays. I think he is in control of the program, he has recruited well, he has made good decisions with whom he hires (maybe his best asset), and he has won. there are 118 div. 1 teams that do not win the NC every year. how is lsu uxpected to win it every year ( i saw a post here yesterday that says we should have won the last 3 NC)? IF Miles stays, the best we can hope for is that he grows as a coach. No coach or player is ever through getting better. Miles should learn from this year, as he did from the past year and hopefully get better, make better decisions and help his young players mature during the season, so our teams gets better every game. That is how national champions are made. Having said that, I really believe Les is going to take the UM job and I agree with everyone that LSU needs to get a very credible hire and do it quickly, so that the next coach can get on the recuiting trail and get to know this LSU team.

i think del rio is a quick fix, as are some other choices. why do we want a failed nfl coach? will he not go back to the nfl? del rio's dream job is probably at usc any way. he is no better of a quick fix than spurrier might be. i only hope we stay away from frangione, chan gailey, orgeron, and anyone else that has lost their job at a div. 1 level this year. how about missouri's coach? i really think the lsu job is one of the best jobs in college football. i believe there are some successful coaches out there in one of the 6 main conferneces who would salivate to have this job, i just don't know who they are? any suggestions/ideas?

One name I never see mentioned as a potential head coaching candidate is Ron Zook. I thought Zook got a raw deal at Florida and he's done a really nice job of rebuilding the Illinois football program. He's always had a reputation as a good recruiter, and from a character standpoint everything I have ever read about him is positive. I think he would be an excellent replacement if Les decides to leave.

I didn't want to get into analyzing Miles. No coach is perfect, he's done a lot of good things for us, and it's easy to judge after and it's much more difficult when you're in a position and have to make split-second decisions. Though I have touched on some things I'd rather not see with our current coach, I also know the next one will be questioned too.

As far as the 3rd grade comment, your psychology ploy to make me post anything else is definitely up on high school, maybe even college but I did graduate out years ago. I have plenty of irritating qualties though, that make it to where you don't have to dig around much to find some to criticize if you enjoy personalizing posts.

I take absolutely no offense to the Terry reference, I only wish I did know as much as he does.
