    Humorous Code Talk

Here is something I just thought about....real funny to me-

    1) "I will NOT be the next coach at Alabama", Nick Saban
Which is code talk for - "I am outta here!"

    2) "I did NOT have sexual relations with that woman", President Clinton
Which is code talk for- "She's a bad,bad girl"

    3) "I did NOT use steriods!!", Rafael Palmerio
Which is code talk for- "See all those homeruns I hit?" "Who cares!"

If anyone can think of some others, please chime in. I am just trying to throw some humor out there this Thursday morning, 2 days before our big game in Hotlanta.

Looks like my gut feeling was wrong about Michigan not offering Miles the job. All the pieces are falling in place for it to happen.

The good news in all this is it appears this will go down early next week. If Miles is going to leave, announcing it ASAP is best for LSU. Our backs won't be against the wall like it was when Saban left.

Dont feel bad, I was wrong too. I thought they wouldnt offer him either but even if they did they would screw up negotiations and low ball him. Oh well, cant be right all the time.

BTW...I dont think there is any "if" in it. He's gone. One thing I did say a while back was if they asked permission then the deal would already be in place. I believe thats happened. Considering Michigan's lack of movement on other candidates this is the only conclusion one can make.

Funny thing is, I won't feel bad. Not that I wish he leaves or anything, but I think we are in a great position to land an equal or better coach. It won't be like last time when all the coaching positions were filled and we didn't have too many options.

Can't imagine a coach not wanting to come here with all this talent. This may turn out for the betterment of everyone.

If Ferentz had showed an interest both of you would have been right. I wonder if UM would have even talked to CLM if Ferentz shows interest?

That's who I really thought would get it. Not sure why he wouldn't be interested in making the move to Michigan. Michigan will always be better than Iowa.

    Money?

you can bet you bottom dollar that LSU will NOT be getting Rich Rodriguez, Spurrier, or Saban (even the lowly snake saban would not leave alabama after just one year).

i think LSU should, if les miles gets this deal done this weekend, announce on monday that crowton is the interim head coach, allow him to coach us to a win in the sugar bowl. i also think monday that LSU should go ahead and announce who is on our "list" of coaches that we want and list them in the order in which they will be receiving phone calls from skip. I think it will be prudent for everyone involved, including saving this recruiting class (saban has already begun to pry his way back to LA for recruits), that LSU move swiftly and efficiently in this matter. Decide who we want, and go get them no matter what.
