So Herbstreit invented the whole thing? I thought he only blew it on Miles' accepting the offer, not that they hadn't offered in the first place.

Michigan wanted him twice, Arkansas wanted him. And that is just the ones that were publicized. Who knows what schools has been quietly talking to Les' agent. Just because you don't like him doesn't mean nobody does.

Yes, LSU is stuck with a winner. What a tragedy. Majorily.

Well he doesn't have the shine he had in 07 but I would think when you are in the cellar you are always looking up. Hell, we have been pretty descent and we are looking for better so who knows. I know one thing, if he leaves my drinking bill will go down.

Shane you just a little too excited, which is why it won't happen. Its liking watching our offense, just when everyone thinks we are turning the corner, we go 3 & out. I think Les is an evil Genius that is toying with our emotions, he get enjoyment by dangling the carrot.

Yep, schools never get turned down by coaches, they just look in another direction.

I believe that Michigan considered him the first time, the second time was a courtesy call with no intentions of hiring him, and they won't offer again. Lloyd Carr and alot of key supporters of the program don't want him there.

When did Arkansas want him? I doubt there is any truth to that.

If you can be happy with a season like this one, and somehow see something extraordinary happening over the next 3 seasons, nothing I will ever say will make any sense to you. I respect you Red, and always consider the points you make, as I know you are a intelligent person. I am not blind to the fact of what has been accomplished. But my opinion is, this guy's offense / lack there of, is going to hurt LSU for the foreseeable future on the field, in the locker room, and in recruiting.
