Well I think most of us would like another shot at tOSU. On a neutral field. I just don't think its going to happen tho. As far as other opponents I'm kinda happy that SUC will be losing to tOSU. It's tough playing your bowl game in whats basically a home game for your opponents. I think SUC is in for a long night in Glendale.

I personally thought that the Rose Committee would take #2's from Pac and Big 10's. Just goes to show what I know. I do like playing a team with a rich tradition and LSU certainly fits there. You guys look like you have a great team down there and I think that a great game benefits everyone. people are still talking about that Rose Bowl we played with Texas. I still think V. Young deserved the Heisman.

I've seen Les Miles mentioned several times as a sucessor to L. Carr. Might happen might not. Nothing against LM, I lean towards maybe pulling Jim Harbaugh from San Diego (where he's doing a great job as head coach) Giving him the offense to run for a couple years and the let LC retire. My thinking is LC is too conservative on offense. In the last 10 yrs, IMHO if LC had turned the offense loose we would have won a lot of those games that the D couldn't hold in. While its true that D wins championships, there is a lot to be said for hanging 50 points on someone. If you can't stop the other team, outscoring them is a viable alternative.

I have to echo Michigan1 here: If any of you have any questions about M I've watched most every game that was available since 1972. I didn't manage to kill all my brain cells back in the 70's so I can remember a few things. Feel free to ask, I will answer what I can.

What?! I'd rather see more of a defensive minded coach, if there were a change, not a former QB or lineman, no offense to those positions.

Maybe someone like Jack Del Rio. A defensive guy who appreciates good offense.

Thanks, I put it together right after I invented the internet.....just kidding. Be careful, a dry sense of humor isn't appreciated around here.

Is Michigan's #1 run defense legit? None of their opponents ranked in the top 25 nationally in rushing offense, except for Ohio St who rushed for 187 yds for a 6.4 yd per rush average against the Wolverines. Some Michigan fans seem to think their D is the key to the game but I think not.

    Rushing Offense, Michigan opponents
    Vanderbilt---------#46
    Central Michigan---#69
    Notre Dame---------#75
    Wisconsin----------#26
    Minnesota----------#45
    Michigan State-----#66
    Penn State---------#48
    Iowa---------------#47
    Northwestern-------#51
    Ball State--------#106
    Indiana------------#90
    Ohio State---------#21

We have a pretty good D Coordinator. I wasn't thinking about changing him. I fully agree that a great D is the key to a championship. I was just saying that in those yrs that we had a soso D a more explosive/innovative O would have won a few more games. LC gets up by 2 td's and closes down the offense. I say get up by 4 td's and then put in the 2nd stringers. If you're up by 4 td's in the 4th you got a good chance of winning. :) We lost 3 games in John Navarres 1st yr at qb. we led each of those games by at least 17. Our D sucked that yr.

Someone was asking about this yrs run D. tOsu spread us out with 4 wideouts. They got 2 long TD runs right up the middle. Take those 2 long runs away and I'd have to say tOSU rush total is cut in half. Best run D in the country? I couldn't say for sure. I'd would say its pretty near the top. so it all comes down to defense. If the defenses really show up for this game, it could be a defensive struggle.

The 60 years that have passed since a SEC team has played in the Rose Bowl doesn't surprise me as they had two conference ties for years. What is more surprising is that LSU and Michigan have never met before. Winning championships is great but you should have to beat the best to be the best. Screw the Pussific-10, I want to play the Big-10, Big-12, and ACC on a regular basis.

Having Big Blue and the Buckeyes in Tiger Stadium would be great. I would also like to attend a game in their stadium but probably never will get a chance unless the Tigers play there. Wouldn't it be great if Michigan played at LSU and we told ESPN Gameday to get ******! Go watch the Golden Domers and FUSC!

Wolverines...welcome to Tiger Forums. Please tell us more about your team, tradition, etc. (We're looking forward to some good news this weekend!)

Now that would be amazing haha
Michigan & Ohio State in Tiger Stadium? The atmosphere would be electric, they would have the tailgate experience of their lives. I've been to UM and i wasn't all that impressed, probably because almost all big 10 schools play day games maybe. but they do have a great team and i would love to see them in BR and likewise with LSU in Ann Arbor.
