LOL. First of all, not every UM fan is an asshole. Just because your reading things on a message board doesn't mean that EVERY fan is full of themselves, smack talking idiots with nothing to back it up with. Fans are the same where ever you go, be it OU, OSU,UM, FSU or any other Big Program that seems to be in the national title hunt every year. Yes they are going to look down on schools that aren't in the hunt every year, like LSU, but so do LSU fans on teams like Vanderbilt. It's a food chain just like the rest of the world. If you have the chance to be the hunter instead of the prey you better do it which this year I hope LSU wins it all. Any REAL UM fan wants to beat the PAC-10 in the Rose, get a Heisman for Perry and see the rest of the conference whip ass so it makes UM look that much better. And alot are split on the OU / LSU game but I want to see the trophy go to a real conference instead of one out west. Note to the Buckeye fan: Any fans that call for their coach's head because he can't beat one team and gets him fired aren't that great IMO. You guys are just as bad or even worse when it comes to talking smack and trust me I know...I'm 20 minutes from Columbus. Why do you think I became a UM fan? Cause Buckeye fans make me sick.
Also adding here buckeye fan, maybe your not talking with intelligent UM fans. Screw the past 100 years and lets go back to '80. Vs each other: UM-16 OSU-8 1 tie. Bowl games wins: UM-14 OSU 9 BIG 10 Chamionships: UM- 7 by themselves and 4 co-champs, OSU- 2 On own and 6 co champs. Heismans: UM 2, OSU 1 National Titles: Tied with one Polls: Top 5's- UM 6 OSU 3 There. I didn't go back 100 years and just went back 20. Does the justify as to who the better team has been in the past decade or do you just want to back one year.......
I have a very good friend who is a Michigan fan. I have met several Michigan Alums through him. In my experience, Michigan fans are a lot like us. They are cool and cocky. They know they have a good program. I found that most of these guys, even when we weren't that good, give LSU respect. They know we're big time.
I'm not anti or pro UM but I've always felt they won so many games because the conference was poor (except OSU which they lost to half the time) until about 10 years ago. they would've NEVER
won so many games if they played FSU, Miami, or in the SEC every year and hence, the winning %, games won, etc. wouldn't be there. They are big and slow.
I have always admired Michigan's program. Who can dispute the fact that they field a consistently competetive team? That food chain better make some room at the top, because tiger aint on the menu any more!:cuss:
