Yep, on January first, the announcers at the Rose Bowl sat there praising the two teams who played each other close in the first half, "Whoever wins this game will definitely be preseason #1." I wanted to puke when I heard that, and of course, USC ran away with it in the 2nd half because, well, Michigan isn't really very good. They only looked good last year because they beat ND to a pulp (take a number.) Now, USC is annointed in the preseason as "the best ever" (you know, what they called OU the year we won the NC.) Meanwhile, we sit at #2 and are called underachievers by the media (and even many of our own fans) for beating State 45-0 with a new QB and OC in the rain. Something just feels like this is going to be our year...
We'd like to thank the University of Michigan for their participation in this year's chase for the National Championship!
It's going to take Michigan YEARS to live this down. Now, any time a cocky Mich fan starts up, you can go, "Ahem... App. State?"
I'm still kind of soaking this in. I can't believe Michigan goes from an overrated top 5 team, to absolutely nothing this season.
When we played this team in Tiger Stadium a couple of years ago, I and a bunch of other tiger fans went on their board after the game and showered them with a lot of respect. These guys reciprocated the sentiments of respect for the LSU program . App ST. = Total class! App. St = better than the highest ranked Big 10 team. Congratulatons App St.
Most years I am happy to see something like this because I am thinking: LSU should move up in the polls. This year I am happy that LSU will stay right where they are.
True. how quickly we forget. past years i pray upsets like this happen so LSU can move up in the polls. It is still awsome to see an underdog like that win (as long as its not against LSU) but really nice not to have to worry about that all the time. All LSU has to do is play their game.  LSU! LSU!
