    The one position we can afford a loss....I presume Blue will be back next season?

    Yeah, I liked Ford though. Of course we're fine at RB but Ford was a good back and those guys get hurt easily. Oh well, we'll reload.

    Saw this one coming, why wait, he was rotting away. Leads me to a question, the average career expectancy for a running back in the NFL is something like 3 to 4 years, if you are in a system like Alabama's where you are the feature back, doesn't that increase the chance that you will have a shorter career? Ford for example hasn't taken near the pounding Eddie Lacy has, if you are a tailback would you rather share time and potentially have a longer career, or be a feature back and potentially have a shorter career?

    I think that's the staffs pitch to guys who are concerned about not being the featured back.
