Red55, I agree but stranger things have happened. If Clayton can come out and shine against Georgia, he’ll step into a spot light on his performance and the performance of the team. If Clayton achieves his average per game, he will have over 1100 yards just through the remainder of the regular season and that would put him with around 1500 receiving yards. I’d like to see him get the rewards, but I’m like the rest of you, I’d rather an average Clayton game/season and LSU win, than a spectacular performance and an LSU Loss!
I hate to be so cynical but the only players who have a chance at the Heisman are the ones who are hyped at the beginning by the national sports media. It's self fulfilling. Can you think of one Heisman winner who came from the "back of the pack"?
If Clayton continues the production, I seriously doubt he will be back next year. I hate to say it, he is already 1st round material, and it will be difficult for him to pass up that kind of payday.
