Although it would mean Clayton would go later, I'd love to see him at Philly. They are one great receiver away from the Super Bowl. Could Clayton become McNabb's much-needed go-to guy? Plus, if he went to the Eagles, I'd get to see him regularly because they're in the Cowboys' division.
You won't see Michael Clayton as a Saint next year---Saints need a fast WR to stretch defenses who doesn't miss 10 games a year---but bank on them drafting at least one Tiger (I say...Lavalais in the 2nd or 3rd). Saints will try to glom off of some of that Nat'l Champ. afterglow by tabbing a "name" Tiger or two, bet on it.
That’s one reason I fell in love with the Saints back in the 80’s because of the LSU & Louisiana connections: Dalton, Hokie, Eric, Bobby Hebert…I know there are more. We need more of that. The Saints fan base would become much more enthused about the team if Clayton or Lavalais were out there. I know I would. I’d be in line for a Saints Lavalais jersey on day 1.
Lavalais and Clayton play to hard to be a Saint. We shouldn't try and curse some of our favorite players.
I saw one prediction that had him going in the second round to the panthers. That would be great for Carolina and Devery.
