Everybody knew several months back that Florida had a linebacker problem and that the likelyhood of having to play true freshmen was a reality. Again, that was evident this past Spring! NOT just a few days ago. This is just one more example of the media setting up the SEC for low rankings. When Florida gets knocked out of the top 10, the other SEC teams that are legitimate will suffer for it because there will be several teams moving up to have to jump over.
All you really have to do is take a good close look at Florida's depth chart to understand that Florida can't afford even a few injuries. And the linebacker spiel is the truth. Zook didn't line up a lot of depth at the linebacker positions and it is going to be evident once Florida gets into the SEC schedule.
Everyone knows Defense will be Florida's weak link and they'll give up the points. They still have plenty of speed and talent around and will be able to patch up their LB corps for Tennessee game. If Wyoming scores a load of points on Florida, that's a sign that they're in real trouble this year & can't stop offenses. The good offensive teams will score plenty on them. The good offensive teams with great defense will kick their butts.
UF fans say they will have patience with Meyer but I call bull**** They are now a Top 5-10 team in almost every single pre-season publication. If they don't win the East or have a record worse then 8-3....I say Meyer feels a lot more pressure come 2006
