My favorite band of this type was from Garyville , La. Anyone remember the Dick Nixons? They had this song :"We are the dicks...the Dick Nixons !!!" There was always one of those generic post office pictures of president Richard Nixon that was hung behind the stage over the heads of the band and the stage was dark. The only light was a spotlight that stayed continuously on that picture. Sometimes the spotlight would pulsate and sometimes it would slowly stray away from the picture only to very quickly return to the photo. I thought they were great sarcasm. They used to open before my brothers band sometimes. He played in the Backbeats.
