You guys are missing the point. No one is offended by the term "happy holidays" People are upset because that term is being used in places that have been traditionally Christmas.

Stuff like Christmas break now being called winter break. Lowes calling Christmas trees holiday trees. Schools instructing teachers not to say merry Christmas and to use happy holidays instead. Those PC actions are what has everyone upset.

But it's so insignificant, salty. It's just terminology. Does it harm anyone in anyway? Is it influencing people to be non-Religious? All that's happening is that some outlets are using a different word. Big deal.

I would rather see Christians up in arms about things like Gimp mentioned. They should spend their time trying to rally other so-called Christians to actually live their life that way, instead of being hour-a-week Christians that will cut you off on their way out of the church parking lot.

i wouldnt say that "everyone" is upset. i would say that "whiners" are upset. people can call it gleebleglorx if they want, it doesnt affect you. you are free to practice your sorcery just like before.

I can understand the school thing. I wouldn't want by kids being subjucted to Buddhism or Islam or witchcraft, or some other religion. The school systems should stay out of it and allow the parents to raise children according to whatever religious belief they want.

Being PC is what is happening now. Retailers purposely saying Merry Christmas instead of Happy Holidays to satisfy people...

This "debate" is nothing new and has been going on for a few years now. This year, many retailers are going back to sayign "Merry Christmas". Heck, it's even extended to the White House where this year the "Christmas Tree" was put up instead of the "Holiday Tree" that has been put up in recent years.
