i dunno, maybe we should boycott these stores until they mention the holidays to the extent that pleases us. although that would be difficult because we still need to exchange presents to glorify jesus, kwanzaa timmy, muhammed, hannukah harry, santa, vishnu, poseidon, bacchus, the FSM and the dalai lama. looks like they have us by the balls.
Explain. I was taught that the Old Testament was part of the Holy Bible and that Christians should obey the Ten Commandments. Is the God of Abraham not the God of Billy Graham?
why should they worry if you are not offended? everybody is happy. short answer: in this sense, of course not. long answer: yes, i am very offended by the perpetuation of myths in a time when belief continues to cause people to regularly be murdered by the thousands.
Just stirrin' the pot. Yahweh and Jehovah are the same guy, everybody agrees, right? Also I never really understood the "God in three persons" thing in a monotheistic religion. I keep hoping there is somebody out there who can explain it to my satisfaction. I understand God and Son O' God, perhaps, but the Holy Ghost business was always a little fuzzy in my religious upbringing.
If you are not offended and I am not offended, then why not call it what it is? Christmas And don't give me that marketing spill again. Over 90% of the people in the US celebrate Christmas. If happy holidays is a marketing strategy, it sure is a dumb one.:dis:
