If there is one thing that Koundjia is not is a spot up shooter. Mitchell is the closest thing we have to that. Heck Mitchell loves to spot and pop on the run more than any player I have ever seen. Koundjia will flourish in this offense and it will improve his numbers more so than any body else.

Martin I am with you on being a big basketball fan. This years team has so much potential. Teams can not just play zone and make us shoot our way out of it. Then once they go man we can pound the ball inside to Bass and Davis. Of course this all depends on everyone doing what they need to do.

Who knows how much Koundjia has improved in the offseason? He's had to make some improvements from last year when he couldn't hit anything. He seems like a guy that hasn't had that much coaching in his career. Being from Africa, he made it to the US based on his athletic ability and potential. Like lsu99 said, by the time he leaves LSU, he has a chance/ability to be All SEC.

the running game on offense will really help lsu this year, i can remember the utah game last year where we ran up and down the court and built a pretty big lead, then all of a sudden we stopped pushing the ball and ran an awful half court offense, the game got close and the tigers won by like 10 points i think, i also remember running an up tempo offense against uab in the sugar bowl classic, again tack minor looked unbelievable running up and down the court, and again we decided to go half court, and it became an interesting game. one big problem with last years team is that we couldnt make that big shot, you know the three that completely dashes the other teams hopes of winning, we had no killer instict last year, if we get that kind of instict we could look at a great season. remember in 2002 football how we just completely melted down, had a million injuries, same thing happened last year, one of best players leaves all of a sudden (coincedence is both left for the auburn game) injury bug hit, neltner, and lazarre got a lot of pt last year down the stretch, that is gonna be big this year imo because we now know we have guys inside that have played and can spell big baby and bass, hey call me crazy but how many people thought jack hunt would be awesome last year before the season started?

What I notice a lot-especially from martin-are huge leaps of faith in this program that are undeserved. He's provided you all with beans and franks, and now you all expect the second course NOT to be a Hungry Man meal, but something from Ruth's Chris...

It's truly weird that people can't call a spade a spade...

martin...You talk about how, "lets say koundjia gives the team nothing more than a big fast body that plays strong d and blocks a few shots, thats ok isnt it? i mean, if everything else worlks out, hudson, minor, bass, big baby, they should be able to handle the scoring load. lsu should have enough scorers that they won't need an offensive contribution from that guy."

We had every single player you just mentioned save for one last year, and they did nothing. Unless you think that Glen Davis will hit the court in better shape (yeah, right), and overall a better player than Jamie Thugreda, then how in the world can you say they can handle the scoring load?

They couldn't last year with a veteran all-SEC quality player down low to offset the absence of Davis...We had a tested defender down low and Davis isn't any of those things...and you say magically now that we can handle the scoring load with the same cast of characters?

    Fuzzy math, indeed...

Another gem from your reply, "lsu has size, lsu has speed, lsu has strength. if anyone can shoot an outside shot, they could really have something. i cross my fingers and hope that husdon and mitchell can make some shots. i dont expect minor to be a big shooter, let that guy run inside and weave around the big boys for layups and dump-offs."

LSU had size. LSU had speed. LSU had strength. No one could shoot an outside shot. They won't have anything. They won't have anything because they still can't hit that outside shot.

The other laugher is that you don't expect Minor to be a big shooter...I mean, Brady has just announced that it won't be half court slow it down spotting up...It will be run-and-gun...Basically, an offense tailor made for Minor's frenetic pace...The guy does NOTHING but score by nature...He's a SCORER...

You sirs, remind me of Ostriches on acid...Hallucinating as you duck your heads into the sand...and trust me, that's what the landscape of LSU Basketball has become under John Brady's watch...a freaking desert...

TE, ok, i get it, you hate john brady. i doesnt entertain me anymore. enjoy yourself.

maybe i wil get direct tv, i wonder if digital cable will have the basketball package. maybe if there are lots of early wins, the networks will pick up some games nationally.

i like fat basketball players, like khalid el amin and charles barkley and big baby. i hope it becomes a known thing and opposing fans throw cheeseburgers on the court while big baby breaks down rims.

OK...Can you not even reply to a comment about your brain fart? That had nothing to do with John Brady...It has to do with HIS TEAM SUCKING and attempting to turn what smells like a fart into Issi Miyaki...

The team stinks, and now all of the sudden they won't stink anymore. They couldn't handle the scoring last year, and now they can...Never bothering to explain your logic behind making the statement.

Sorry, but you can slither away from this-once again-perfectly logical rebuttal by changing the subject or saying that my legitimate comments about the teams lack of production have nothing to do with reality but some deep-seated dislike for the coach, then so be it.

The bottom line is no matter whether you like coach Brady or not, the comment you made cannot be backed up in any way, shape or form by anything you've seen from the players you've mentioned...

Change the subject, plain old back down from answering legitimate questions, or try to get under my skin all you like, but they ain't gonna score, outside of Hudson and maybe Tack...Bass will get some every now and then, but only when Davis can get in and not go out after 30 seconds of sluffing it up and down the court...They'll make him move and work, and then when he gets winded, it's LSU B-Ball '03 minus Lloreda, doubling down on Bass and smothering our non-offensive players when we have the ball...

Just admit you can't back up your own statements...I'm not here to show you all how much I dislike Brady...I'm now showing you how you are fearful of backing up your own comments with logic.

The second straight time I've reiterated my points about your comment.

The 2nd straight reply I've received that either totally ignored it, made up a reason to not pay attention to it, stepped away from backing your own comments up, or answered the reply with a question...

Learn to answer questions before you ask more...What has made you feel that the departure of Thugreda from the lineup and the addition of a player who will-at best-be Thugreda's equal, will suddenly allow a player like Koundja to be nothing but an athlete and a warm body on the court?

How will all these players who couldn't handle the scoring load suddenly be able to with just one new player who isn't the same conditioned athlete that the one we lost was?

This will be the third time...and I'll let you in on a secret...Either back down from supporting your own opinions now, or go on changing the subjects, ignoring the questions, or otherwise. Either way, it's fine with me...But, you'd waste less time just ceasing the conversation...Just back up your opinions with facts...Please.

We agree that you fear talking logically about your own comments...
