Don't discount Newt and the Congress he had. That alone is what made Clinton any kind of success and then the dems do what they do and they fucked it all up. Dan Bongino has the best quote ever "I'm not going to tell you that Republicans have the answer to all of the problems but the one thing that is certain is that DemocRats caused all of the problems"

You can run, you can hide, you can scream and yell and stomp but that shit is 100% true!

The 2008 crash was a decade later, you can do better than that. And if terrific is to strong for you how about very very good. Don't get me wrong, I was against Bill (and Hilary) for the same reason I'm against Trump. They are both dog turds with legs. But if your about the policy and not the person, and you make any attempt at consistency, then you liked Bill's economic policies. We were in recession when he was elected and we grew wages, lowered inflation, and consumer spending accelerated.

Of course I knew few on this site could agree anything good happened during a democratic administration without gagging.

Because of Gingrich but yes, that did happen, it just had nothing to do with Bill. He never gave a shit about the job, was too busy being big pimp.

Those Republicans, you mean the people you now call RINOs meaning they are closet Dems?

This has nothing to do with this conversation. It was as horrible as it gets. I watched in total disbelief as Waco happened real time during lunch. All of that led to Oklahoma City. But has nothing to do with economic policy.

The economic policies you refer to were those of the Republican Congress. When Bill first got elected, he tried to hand 1/5 of the economy over to Hillary in the form of government controlled healthcare. It took Newt and the Contract With America election to bring Bill closer to center. Once that happened, he and Congress worked well together.

You're right, that's exactly how it happened. He and congress worked together. So compromise and bipartisanship can work for the good of the country when the country is put ahead of power politics.

I don’t even understand your point. Clinton wasn’t a socialist like today’s bunch.

I loved Newt; and the contract with America was absolutely brilliant.

Neither side has all the answers, and neither side caused all the problems. Our current fucked up mess (28 trillion in debt) was truly a team effort by donkeys and elephants. And the only time someone pays attention to it is when the other side tries to pass new legislation.

I think you would have to admit it’s gone a bit off the rails here man.

Wish this was true and in the 50's and 60's it was mostly true. You are fooling yourself thinking the DEMOCRATS today are like those in the 50's and 60's they very very from that now. There is only one party the DEMOCRATS along with a very few Rino's that is destroying our country at a rapid pace. Hard for me to believe you can't see that, wish you could.
