1. I'm shocked that DD would blog something that is innacurate. :nope: He must be busy counting all of those donations. :dis:

This still doesn't change my view of USC fans. :hihi: Sorry tiga.
  2. College fans are a lot alike everywhere, good and bad in all fan bases but I understand.

Listen though, I respect DD tremendously and read his column too (in fact there is a check on my snack bar I need to put in the mail for him).....he is currently helping me with a kid at my school and it's no knock on him because he is really busy and I don't know how he keeps up anyway. :thumb:
  3. Yeah...I would say that.
  4. i think joe had an awards banquet the same weekend that Chad Jones went to USC. That is why Mcknight was on cold pizza.
  5. I may be wrong and someone may be able to add or correct me on these issues but I'd think his decision will be based on these variables:

1/ Given he can choose anywhere, I know he's obviously interested in an elite program with a good shot at playing for a National Championship. I really think LSU and USC will be in the NC game next year- we (As well as USC) definitely have as good a chance as anyone- we actually have a better shot- both teams loaded with talent but our schedule, with the key games at TS, gives us the edge. With him considering that variable, advantage goes to LSU at minimum, everything levels out.

2/ Like all recruits (Especially with his type abilities) I'm sure how soon he has an opportunity to play will be a big factor and even though our shelf is well-stocked, USC's is too so that should level that factor. I actually feel he may have a better chance to play here but don't see him playing any sooner at USC. Everything pretty equal there. In case anyone was wondering about their depth at RB:

3/ Or he can choose to live and play where he can be close to his family and friends (I understand he is very close to his mother) where they can attend games more frequently, see him play, visit with him before and after game; or he could decide to be in California with the beaches and babes, Disney Land and whatever else there is to do in California, far away from home and possibly have to deal with being home-sick as do many kids who move so far away from home at that age.

Matter of fact, USC just lost a highly recruited player- Antwine Perez -because of that reason. He will not return next year and will be at Maryland to be closer to home. So hopefully McNight is a true homeboy and from what I'm hearing he does want to be close to his mother, but I dont know that for sure so this one is a toss up.

Now, even though I feel this is what he has to look at, it seems crazy that it would come down to being close to home or not. Does anyone else see it that way? I have to be missing somehthing.
  6. Everything pretty equal? I don't see that at all. McKnight is not going to go in an replace C.J. Gable at USC, plus they have a committ from the top ranked Running Back in the nation in Marc Tyler, along with all the other kids they sold the "Next Reggie" story to last year.

LSU has SR. Alley Broussard, JR. Jacob Hester & So. Keiland Williams. The others are Scott & Murphy. The only player that LSU could consider a "Small" or "Smaller" back is Richard Murphy.

Basically we have no real dual threat player like a Mcknight.
  7. I thought McKnight was being looked at primarily as a receiver?
  8. I believe they will look at him at whatever position he would like to play. He has the opportunity to be used like Reggie Bush is being used with the Saints and just as Bush is benefitting from having Deuce so will Mcknight benefit from LSU's stable of running back if he comes to LSU !
  9. I would think that CJ's brother will play a big part in getting him to LSU. Personally, I see CJ being in the MLB next year.
  10. This what will happen....McKnight signs with LSU...he's brought in, as a slot WR...slants, skinny posts, and the ocassional reverses. Then, as he matures...gets a feel for the game. BAM! WILDCAT formation!!!! McKnight left, McNight right...it'll be better that Tebow, or McFadden...more moves, and pure speed. By the time its said and done, probably 850 to 1000yards his Fr year...Soph season, even more indepth designed plays, WR screens, he starts to return punts, kickoffs...look out Heisman. Saturday Nights under the lights at Death Valley belong to the "McKnight"
