I'm tempted to write in Harry Truman again.

But I'm voting for Obama because he Not The Republican. Four more years of Republican scandals, Republican mismanagement, Republican cronyism, Republican "borrow and spend" philosophy, and Republican corporate welfare will ruin us.

Not to mention stacking the Supreme Court with goose-stepping fascists . . .

I fear the Democrats will swing too far left in response, as usual, but at least they will have to swing across the middle to do it and maybe we can stabilize it there. A republican will just push us further into the extreme right. The answers are almost never found at the extremes.

my main fear is that with the democrats controlling the executive and legislative branches, spending will get even more out of control. im hoping there are enough fiscally rational dems to cross the aisle when needed.

at least i'll know if we're gonna blow a trillion bucks it wont be on donating it to another country or killing people.

Obviously you haven't read up on the new, multi-national, agreement to rid the world of poverty or to treat everyone in africa with aids. We're not "donating" money, we're giving it away. To be fair, this isn't a republican or democrat issue..it's a lot bigger than that.

Clinton posted surpluses and paid down the national debt. Fiscally responsible Democrats have been appalled at Republican "borrow and spend" policies.
