The reason AB only has 8 int last year is cause NOBODY catches balls he throws. That's how far off target he can get.
Well we're not THE worst. Rather, we share the title with the Seahawks and I believe the Bengals, in terms of Super Bowl appearences.
I'm not saying that I'm not frustrated with them. The front office is very questionable. Honestly I'm really hoping this is Haslett's last year. The heart the saints had in 2000 has been absent ever since. I don't know if he lost the team or what happened, but I don't have any confidence in him, or our coordinators The problem is who do you hire as your new hc? You can't go hire a proven hc, because al of them are already employed. Most people want to bring in one of the pat's coordinators. The pats have the best system going right now, but even if we get one of their guys it doesn't mean they'll make a good hc. As for a gm... I'm not really sure. Loomis may not be the best football guy, but he is great when it comes to the business side. I would like to see Loomis stick around as part of the org., but probably not as gm.
You guys need to stop looking at Mauch through Purple and Gold sun glasses. Picking him up would not do much for the Saints. Brooks is the starter, Bouman sucks but still has experience, and J.T. O'Sullivan has a very solid grip on a roster spot. Mauck would not unseat any of those guys. Yea he did great here, won us a National Championship. I miss him like crazy and wish he was still here. But I just don't think he is an NFL qb.
Seahawks, Lions, Cardinals, Jaguars, Texans, and Browns have also never made it to a super bowl. Bengals have made two, losing to the Niners both times.
Get this through your head. THE SAINTS ARE NEVER GOING TO WIN. NEVER!! The sooner you begin to understand that, the sooner you can get your Sundays back.
Yeah brooks is fine for your fantasy teams.... this aint fantasy where winning doesnt matter. Anyone who watches the Saints or pays the bucks to witness his play are THE MAIN ONES who bitch. Why? because no one else cares except 'fantasy geek'. I've been to a couple saints games over the last 2 years and I watch most if not all of them and its clear he cost the saints many games with fumbles in critical situations. Its a serious problem he doesnt seem able to correct. He already fumbled again last week. Daunte Culpepper has the same problem but the difference is Daunte runs with the football and makes big plays with his feet and through the air....Aaron Brooks is a good runner yet hardly, if ever runs anymore. People say its b/c he got his money ...no, thats very untrue. He stopped rushing before he signed a contract saying, he did not want to be known as a black QB so he wasnt running anymore. And he hasn't. I dont care if he's green, he should do whats best for the team and run the damn ball when there's room to run and often times he doesnt even scramble yet tosses it out of bounds to avoid being hit. Last week on a fumble he didnt even make an effort to get the ball. It was typical brooks. Standing there watching, probably laughing. Favre woulda been at the bottom of the pile fighting defensive linemen to get it. Gotta love his apathy....but hey its just a front...he really does care. Try not to mention Brett Favre and Aaron Brooks in the same sentence in a comparison because as you mentioned, WATCH THE GAME. Anyone who watches the game wouldnt try to defend this heartless yet talented athlete who will never win anything significant outside of the SAINTS only playoff win. This team is in disarray as usual and offer nothing outside of deuce and horn. Brooks as their leader is only fitting. Good luck to you brooks fans, pity for the Saints fans. But wait, they beat San Francisco. there's hope. more kool-aid please.
