Most of what you have stated is the undisputable truth. OU's running game has weakened, sacks have increased over the past 3-4 games, etc. I have a slight problem with comparing Mauck to a Heisman winner, but, on any given night, almost any QB can look like Heisman winner. I don't doubt Mauck could put out that kind of effort but QB's such as Roberson have given OU the most problems.

However, when OU won the National Title in 2000, the offense wasn't hitting on all cylinders either but the OU defense was simply terrific, and that was with significantly less talent than this team possesses. OU's defense will be as suffocating as LSU's so it will come down to which team has the best offense and makes the least mistakes.

    Take care!

You can be assured, my Sooner friend, the LSU "D" will be the best your team has faced all year.

My point was that a good offense can make a good defense look average. A great offense can make a good defense look pathetic. LSU has a great defense and OU has a very good offense, great if they can get the running game going or make the defense concentrate on the running game so much that they have to play softer pass defense. I don't care if OU scores by running for 300 yards or passing for 300 yards, just as long as they score!

OU will be the best offensive team LSU has faced all season so it will be a very interesting game!

I would be worried about the OU offense if you guys had a legitimate running game that could soften up our D and allow you to pass the ball. This would worry me. But you don't.

I would be worried about the OU offense if your QB was mobile like El Roberson or even Matt Mauck. This would worry me. But he isn't.

I would be worried about OU had you guys blasted Kansas State and now would be playing for history as being maybe the BEST team in college football history. That would worry me. But you didn't.

I would be worried if Bob Stoops was heads above the rest of all other coaches in college football. But there happens to be a guy by the name of Nick Saban on the other side of the field, the best game day decision coach around. So I'm not.

If you thought OU had trouble with their offense against a pretty good Kansas State defense, just wait. At least you moved the ball between the 20s against KState. Nobody moves the ball between the 20s against the LSU defense. There will be 1 or 2 big plays you guys will be able to pull off against our overly aggressive style of defense, but it will fall woefully short of what is needed to win this game.

LSU by 17. Our cb's will shut Clayton

down, Ok won't be able to run, and White will be sacked at least 5 times and knocked down all night due to his immobility. Ask Greene (twice), Manning, Croyle, etc. about standing in the pocket. Nick Saban is not Mack Brown. Justin Vincent, Addai and Alley will run on Ok with our ol which will set up the play action pass.

When LSU kicks yer butt, will you then say NC games are not important? That you should be judged on your season as a whole and not just a couple of games at the end of the season? That OU is still the better team because our guys won all those awards?

I think you should be worried but you will probably figure that out in the 1st Q.

OU has had enough of a running game to keep the defense honest. White will burn LSU if they bring the heat and will pick them apart if they don't. The KSU loss did show that OU is beatable but, I think it was a wake-up call to a team that could have otherwise waltzed into New Orleans thinking they are unbeatable much like FSU did in 2000 against the Sooners. The Sooners were ready then and they will be ready this time as well.

While everyone has great respect for what Saban has accomplished, most everyone acknowledges Coach Stoops and his coaching staff as the best in the business. The coaching edge goes to the Sooners.

OU didn't have problems with KSU's defense, they had problems finishing drives, as you noted by the Sooners ability to drive between the 20's. LSU will have OU's full attention, the KSU loss guaranteed that.

You should probably remember that OU has a pretty good D on the other side of the ball as well. I would suggest that OU can score 10 points and still win the game. Luckily, we get to watch this one play out on the field!

    Take care!

Offense sells tickets. Defense wins championships. Just like the great OU defense shut down a high powered Florida State offense in the 2000 NC game this years Tiger defense will do that to the OU offense. Forget about running the ball.

LOL ... scared and exited just like these little junkyard dogs from Ole Miss, Arkansas & Georgia ... Obtruder and the rest of them ... we're not over on your board spouting ... and we won't come over there, either ... and waste our time ... You clowns showed the world versus KSU ... THERE ARE NO EXCUSES AND THERE IS NO HIDING SEVERAL GLARING WEAKNESSES.

The Boogey Man ... Nick Saban ... has three weeks to create a Dee game plan against a pitiful OU line ... that 38 points ain't gonna happen ... AND YOU CAN DREAM SWEETLY NOW.

The nightmares start on Jan 4th.
