I don't know. He apparently played it in High School and I assume was recruited as a QB. A 6-6, 240 pound tight end who can run a legit 4.35 forty would have NFL scouts drooling. Teams would almost have to play a nickel defense against a team like that on every play.
I think he played wide receiver a few times during the year. I never really heard if he could catch or not. His stride makes it appear that he is not moving as fast as he is which causes some to take bad angles at him. He can still make the move in the pros. I think Jay Novecek (sp?) played QB at Wyoming. Also two wide receivers for the Steelers played QB in college. He would just not get the big draft day bonus, but he could make it up over time if he works hard at it.
