If Russell went down, I'd feel comfortable with Flynn coming in. Flynn has done nothing but impress when he's been given the chance to shine this season. He has better accuracy with the long passes, but also his throws are thrown with a nice touch that often allows our receivers to make big plays after the catch. The problem with this "touch" is that, in a real game with it all on the line, a db has a much better chance to catch that kind of ball. So it's tough to say how well he would have done in a big-time game.

JaMarcus is far from perfect, but he's improving every game. And the aspect that matters most is that JaMarcus flat out knows how to win. When the game is on the line, there's nobody I'd rather have out there.

JaMarcus could very well be gone after next season, and that would give Flynn his senior year to be our starter (if he can beat out Perrilloux & whoever else we've got by then).

thing is... Who does everyone see backing up jamarcus next year?

Does Flynn come in for mop up, or does perrilloux get his time to shine?

Well, no one has any idea how good Perrilloux will be next year (or even how good he is now). If Perrilloux doesn't prove to be better than Flynn in practice, Flynn will be the back up. That being said, I think Ryan will get the chance to come in as a change of pace QB.

Flynn should beat out Perrilloux for the #2 spot.. he simply has more experience in the system... Perrilloux's advantage is pure physical ability...

It is a scary though that RP may be even better than both JR or MF.

I talked to a walk-on player at the Bama game and he said Flynn was probably transferring. Any truth to this?

And Honestly, there would be no hard feelings...

He's a talented quarterback. He could start ANYWHERE else in the country.

    Just not at LSU....
