This really hits home for me because his situation is very similar to mine. I wasn't raised by my mother but by my grandmother. When she passed, it was the hardest thing that I ever had to endure. She did everything for me. My mother raised my other siblings but she always dumped her kids on their fathers. My father had drug issues and wasn't their for my younger days but he has since gotten clean and has been for almost ten years. I hope Tyrann continues to succeed and sticks it to Saban for not giving him a scholarship.

Truely inspiring and great to know. It proves how strong his personality is and how focussed he was to make something of himself. I hope it all works out for him and we see him in the NFL. I also hope that he continues his education in case the NFL does not work out.

Just read a newly written article on Rivals about Tyrann playing at Willie Hall playground.

Now I'm officially psyched. The dude has literally stumped on the same grounds that I learned to play the sport.
I played their until I was 12 as well. When I was 12, I actually was featured on a local news story on channel 7 by Susan Rosegen.
They were visiting Willie Hall to report on how poor the facility was, and how we needed funding to improve the place.
I embarrassed the hell out of my mom that night.

    She turns on the news,
    This is her son...

"Yeah, we don't even have no bathrooms. We gotta pee in the bushes."
    Now back to the studio.
    True story. :D

TM7 is all the way official.

My park ball coaches were also trying to push me to go to St. Augustine high school. But I couldn't see my self being paddled/whipped by a teacher (not sure if this is till in practice or not) or sitting in an entire building filled with boys.

What's even more hilarious, is that when I played ball in high school, my coaches actually called me "Willie Hall."

Before TM7 is done, its going to be called Honey Badger Field... With a live honey badger exhibit, one that make Mike the Tiger a bit envious.

I heard Robert Griffin III lived there for a time as a kid, too.

It's crazy that 2 Heisman candidates are from pretty much the same neighborhood.
