Mass shooting in Vegas. I predict that some gun nut will make a prediction

Doesnt matter if we are the country with the worst gun violence evil people will find ways to kill. Guns were everywhere when I was a kid growing up in New Iberia. We could walk down the street with a shotgun going hunting in the 50's police would not even stop you. What's changed? Disrespect for life and the lefts push to divide us by race, gender, age and religion. Add to this Roe v Wade which allowed our society to destroy babies for it seems such reasons as its inconvenient.

Life has been cheapened where now mothers and fathers are murdering their children at an alarming rate. We have also taken God out of our lives. Until this changes evil will continue.

 

And stupitity marches on with the Rex's of the world.

 

A young nice looking married couple in their early 30's living in a normal suburban home along with their sweet 7 years daughter and 5 year old son. Guns are outlawed now and unavailable. 3 big angry drugged up thugs armed with baseball bats and machetes break into this house with intent to rape, steal and murder. The husband has no gun because its against the law he does have a baseball bat. How does this scenario end? We all know how it will end don't we. You see evil needs to be countered with maximun firepower. Evil will win out if we are not armed. Calling the police is useless the carnage will already be over.

 

Statistics for 2015, according to the Centers for Disease Control:

268 justifiable homicides (self-defense)
789 accidental firearms deaths

So, statistics show that by having a gun in the home it's three times more likely for that family to accidentally kill one of their own than it is that they'd kill an intruder.

 

Sounds to me like some people need to manage their possessions better.

 

Yeah yeah yeah and more people die in car crashes. An accidental death by guns is a personal issue and not related to what a gun can do to SAVE your and your loved ones lives. Just as a car can be useful it can also be deadly.

I'm not opposed to having a gun or two in the home for self-defense, and I also believe that the possibility of any one house having firearms to defend themselves probably is dissuasive to would-be burglars and home invaders, but there should be reasonable limits on the types and quantities of weapons allowed, with mandatory full registration and licensing.

No, they don't. It's not reasonable for one person to have a small army's worth of military-style weapons and ammunition, as Stephen Paddock did.
