I hope this is untrue and just something to try and distract team and staff. OU has a caoch leaving USC feels they were robbed LSU has no distractions and I don't think the press wants LSU to go into this game unincumbered so they start stuff like Saban leaving and players going to leave early etc.

How's that for a conspiracy theory?

I wish hunt was a junior with one more year to work on speed and strength. I feel he has a better chance at coaching, maybe at LSU later down the line. It's clear he has the leadership and knowledge of the defensive scheme.

I think Hunt's best option is to go into coaching. He seems to have a solid grasp on defensive strategery (sp? I know I know :D ) but just doesn't have the physical skills to play on the next level.

Maybe Jack Hunt could become an assistant here at LSU.

You never know, maybe he could become head coach here
    one day

Yeah, as smart and intuitive as Jack is as a player, he doesn't have cornerback speed or safety size. I'd love to see him in a coaching role, however.

Marquise, on the other hand, could seriously benefit from staying. He hasn't been dominant, but he's really close and has gotten better and better as the year has gone on. If he can put up some numbers next year, he'll have the combine numbers to be an elite pick.

    BS

He has not stated as such. In fact, his LSU teammate buddy says no and his Mom said that would be news to her. He could still go, but I don't believe any player would make that announcement BEFORE the Sugar Bowl. I'm sure St. Nick has coached them well.

    I agree with you,

I hope he knows what he's doing, I don't think LSU will miss him
that much but I have to say one thing about this:

What ever happened to Trev Faulk?

I think that we would miss him in a large way. With Chad gone, him and Marcus are going to have to step it up and be the anchors of our DLine.

Trev Faulk was a different situation altogether; in any case, there doesn't seem to be a lot of credibility to this report.

I used the Trev Faulk situation, even though it might've been
a little different, they both still would leave early to show.

I was very surprised by him of all people leaving early.
The grass isn't always greener on the other side.

There are a lot of kids that leave early thinking thier ready and
never make it in the pros, but I guess they could always play
in NFL Europe or somewhere like that.

As far as us missing him, I'm sure we would some but I trust
Nick and his recruiting to replace these players with quality
players the way he can recruit.

I just thought he would miss LSU more if he left early and went
pro then got cut because everyone knows he hasn't been the
doninant player that Chad has in college.
