    Re: Mark May

Idiots keep thinking Miles is winning with smoke and mirrors while Miles gets fat and happy beating all comers. He's 33-6. It takes more than luck and (somebody else's) talent to ring up those numbers.
Tressel has done well at OSU, as has every coach who's ever been there. He ain't that special. Coaching mismatch? How many country fried a$$ whuppins is it gonna take to make you guys see the light?

I say don't us fans, or the team, get over confident. This team at its best would have its way with OSU, IMO. That's if the team that played the first two games showed up. We haven't seen that team in quite a while. Our team lost to Ky. up there, and Arky in our backyard. If OSU shows up focused, and they will to avenge last years embarrassment and all the talk about "too slow", and LSU sends out the team that lost to Arky, we won't end up the national champs. We can lose this game.

Keys will be getting Dorsey back healthy (but I'll be surprised if he "throws around" the OSU o-line), Beckwith on a healthy knee, Flynn healthy. The receiver corp has improved throughout the year and I think Doucet, LaFell, Byrd, and Tolliver will play well. We need Keiland Williams knee to be healthy, but Hester and Scott can do the job alone if necessary.

I look for an exciting game, one that could go to the last second, again!

as long as RP can get the ball to Doucet and Byrd, LSU will be able to take advantage of mismatches on LB's that can turn into big plays for LSU.

Some people see the hat, but I see a damn fine coach that will have his way with Tressel in N.O.

This is my first post on this website and from what I have seen you guys seem to be classy. If you would like check out buckeyeplanet.com the same respect would be given.....

Where to begin with Mark May.:insane: This guy has flip floped all season from WVU, Oregon, LSU, USC, Floridah, Oklahoma and Georgia. He's also the one that said USC was still the best team in the nation after the lose to Stanford. This guys garbage, I'd put my money on Lou Holtz picks before Mark May. Mark May also Picked Miami in 02 to win by 40 against OSU.

I look at this game to be a very good one, with two great schools and great traditions. Should be a nail bitter in the 4th quarter.

Hopefully Matt will also be getting the ball to our receivers. :thumb:

I've got a damn good feeling about this matchup. I've had it since we knew we would face Ohio St for the :crystal:

If we bring anything close to our A game and minimize the mistakes (penalties, dropped balls, etc.) I think we're going to be pleasantly surprised with the final score.

I have a strange feeling about this game. Yeah, LSU has the #2 BCS curse to overcome and most of the nation has them winning isn't what bothers me which being overconfident can come back to bite them. What bothers me is the lack of respect the Buckeyes are getting is going to give them an extra motivational edge and plus they're sick of hearing they can't beat an SEC team in the big games. Reminds me so much of the ARK game and the game last year between Florida and the Buckeyes, sort of like a David vs Goliath. Buckeyes were given all the love and Florida came in and punched them in the face and knocked them out. I still think LSU comes into this game lethargic and Buckeyes control the tempo of the game. I think the Buckeyes will win this game. I hope I'm proven wrong.

I have many family members and friends who are LSU alumni and they are mixed about this game also. As one of my friend's (94 grad) from Baton Rouge said, "It seems the underdog always wins the NCG. Look at 03 LSU, 05 Tex, 06 Florida, this is just to name a few."

Welcome to the board! We have a pretty good board, this is the only one I will post on. Good mix of football knowledge, good sense of humor, some good chefs (as in eating good food), couple of drunks, and one crazy old uncle (but you have to find out on your own)! :hihi:

This is a National Championship game, and both participants deserve respect for "getting there", whatever their path. I look forward to an entertaining game!

Yea.........& they gave G BUSH the majority also, but Mark May is just part of entertainment..pretty bad alot of the time I might add.

The teams as they are with each team healthy will be matched up pretty good & it should be more entertaining than the talking heads.

ESPN??? I assume their college football coverage is just trying to fill in time until the bowl games. It wouldn’t surprise me to see them plugging bowls they carry and making outlandish statements about the teams in the other bowls just to keep their ratings up.

After what they did or tried to do to LSU before the SECCG, I am avoiding them. I figure I can catch up on any of their more outlandish remarks by checking in here at TF. Unless ESPMN actually has an LSU game on, I am sticking to my vow to watch the Comedy Channel – I trust the reporting there more than ESPN.
