That was my ex-girlfriends roommates former dealer. He said the dude used to keep a shotgun behind his door, and was generally pretty sketchy. Like he would get really pissed off if you told him 'thanks.' BTW, copious amounts of alcohol + nuggs = yummy!!!:thumb: Hmmm, I'll be in Colorado next week....hmmmmmmm....
If drug laws are for good, sound reasons - what are the reasons alcohol is legal? One puff of marijuana doesn't distort perceptions any more than one shot of jaegermeister. If alcohol abuse is a problem, do you feel it should be made illegal? I mean, that's your logic for drugs. This was covered a little earlier, but I don't think marijuana is truly a gateway drug anymore than alcohol is. If alcohol wasn't sold in stores, then coke dealers would be selling that to. Who wants cigarettes banned & marijuana legalized? Is this really the same group of people?
Anyone that has any inkling as to why weed became illegal in the first place would never say something so foolish as that it was illegalized for good reason. It had very, very little to do with the actual effects, and everything to do with shameful and racist propoganda elicited by media icons fearful of hemps utility as a paper product.
Very true. There's several books on the subject I believe. I read an article, it might have been in Time Magazine, several years ago which broke down the whole thing & basically said the same thing.
Oh, and this whole thing about weed being a gateway drug, I may be mistaken, but the most strident proponents of that line of reasoning appear to be the ones most opposed to the use/legalization of it. In other words, it's all the straight-laced folk singing that mantra. Of course, this is only what they've been instructed to believe by propoganda machines. They can't say for sure because they really have no idea. I know people that do hard drugs that don't smoke weed. I don't get it, but plenty of them do exist. The 'starter' drug theory is bullsh*t. Most people that have curiousities about other drugs, have them well before every smoking for the first time. I know I certainly did. What happens is, once you start smoking, you obviously need a dealer. You become associated with people that have access to those other drugs. Availability is the key. Henceforth, you beceom able to experiment with other substances.
