If a loser needs an enabler, liquor is quicker, cheaper, easier to find, and not a felony to use. Millions of losers can attest to this.

Pot is a enabler for dreamers. And dreaming isn't counterproductive for a novelist, a poet, a musician, or someone who airbrushes T-shirts on the beach. But it is also an enabler for complacency, which can hamper one's ambitions and achievements. Still, it won't make you a loser, just self-indulgent.

Losers are sometimes just born that way. Forever at the mercy of life's every gambit and distraction. Marijuana is one of the least of them.

Now what kind of pitiful excuse for an engineering firm was this that didn't subject you to at least 1 random drug test? :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:

They could because of safety issues.

Legalize cocaine, meth and extasy? Boy is this guy out there. These drugs are illigal because they are dangerous. Legalizing them would not make them less dangerous. It would just serve to send the opposite message. It would be a form of false advertising. But if I have to tell you all this, it probably will not do any good.

Let me put this disclaimer first.. My dad was murdered because of his drug use.. Christmas Eve my uncle's body finally gave in from years of drug use.. that out of the way...

You'd think i would be the last person to advocate the legalization of marijuana, but i really believe that there is more benefit to it than harm. The medical use of marijuana is self-evident. It helps cancer patients with nausea and "wasting", it helps parkinsons and M.S. patients with muscle tremors, it helps people like me with RLS actually get a good night's sleep (no, i dont use it anymore, but i also dont sleep well anymore)... As far as personal use goes, the negative effects of marijuana are no worse than that of alcohol. A person is actually less prone to violence on pot than on alcohol. Legalize it. Drives the price waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down. This eliminates the illegal trade of it because there is no longer the huge profit margin that exists now. Regulate it. Yeah, minors get there hands on alcohol and tobacco, but if you have to get carded to buy it, at least thats something. There would also be standards for purity.. no more worrying about that embalming fluid in your pot... Talk about gateway drugs? ever wonder why some people go from pot to coke? thats because some ingenius dealer decided to put a little broken up crack in the joints he was passing out.. its called a Caddie... makes the little kiddies come driving back around for that weed that seems to get them extra high... I started smoking pot when i was 12.. smoked through highschool, all the way til i was 20... is that a good thing? no. Would i like a joint right now? Not really... could i have used one this past week when i had to go to a couple funerals? would have really helped my nerves... probably better than the nerve pills (usually valium or xanex) that our aunts like to take.. or the beer after beer that that fellas drink..

His point is that it isn't the government's job to control substances that are merely dangerous to yourself. It should be your choice if you wish to harm yourself.

I never said they couldn't. I actually said that they still could in my next post after that one. But if it was made legal, I think most companies wouldn't really care about it. Just an opinion.

As I said, I haven't smoked many times. I never buy weed & have never made magical brownies...

How do older people even find dealers? I mean, for a college student it's easy, but it seems like it would be more difficult for a professional person.

Heh, I'm only 28, so I'm only 7 years out of college, but let's just say that the smokers who believe it's more common than non-smokers think are right. I quit smoking after many years of daily use, but the stuff I was getting in the "professional world" was wayyyyyyy better than the stuff I had in college.

They say that gay men have "gaydar", which somehow allows them to instantly spot another gay person on site. Well, after awhile you develop "weedar".
