Well the truth is we are currently thin at WR. Corey looked great at WR, just as he did before he made the switch. Now when the freshman come in during summer it will get interesting.
That's the big question. How fast will Doucet and Carter be able to pick up the game? If one or both can play then great. If not it's nice to know we have Webster. (and Addai).
I kind of hope that Addai works out at WR. He's talented and quick. We're actually so deep at RB, that if Addair was WR, then Vincent, Broussard, Edwards, and Carey would each get more carries.
I think doucet will be SEC ready this year simply because he is a natural football player with amazing football instincts and with supreme athletic ability suited for football. Carter is more raw, but as we all know has blazing speed that will get him on the field i.e. kick return. I think Doucet will be a mjor impact freshman. With bowe, davis, green and doucet all contributing early on, and amp hill coming along soon after, we will be safe at WR barring any injuries. Carter will come along after a year in the system. (His situation is similar to bennie blazing brazell, except carter imo will come along much sooner.) the incoming wildcard is lavelle hawkins. reminds me of skyler in a way. If he steps up sooner then expected we will be deep at WR. The ESPN guys dont look this deep into a situation, so will think we are stretched thin at WR. This will work to our advantage, as I think it will end up being a strength this year.
Corey will not play WR this season. He's just filling in during the spring practices. Remember this time last year how Michael Clayton was going to play defense. He had like 2 plays on defense after the incoming freshman stepped in. The same thing will happen in this situation.
I think he will see some time at WR. I'm convinced, however, that coaches do this year in and year out with great athletes to stir up some dust. It allows coaches to disguise something else they may actually be looking at during the Spring. Also, it is always good to force opponents to make more preparations then they would previously - if Oregon State spends 20 minutes discussing Webster then it's worthwhile. Also, Webster is certainly capable of playing WR without a doubt - I just can't imagine him seeing a whole lot of time on the other side of the fence. Unrelated - Tirk you are way overdue for an avatar change!
yes, unless you are Nick Saban you surely can't guarantee CW won't play any at WR. He will prolly put him in just for kicks sparingly whether needed or not. ok sorry I'll change it.
