1. Which was probably what the Raiders should have done anyway. One player isn't going to turn this team around. They should of took this opportunity to trade down and acquire numerous high round picks plus future picks.
  2. That's what the Texans should have done as well when they picked Mario Williams instead of Reggie Bush who was otherwise the consensus number one pick. They could have picked the guy they wanted, and maybe gotten an additional draft pick or two as well.
  3. Raiders are exhibiting the type of idiotic behavior that has dashed them to the bottom of the NFL. Al Davis must be senile now. You are the worst team in the league, you pick the first player in the draft, and you won't do what it takes to get him in camp and start learning your system so he can challenge for the start day one, and be prepared to take over from Culpepper if he goes down (like that never happened before!).

They're just idiots and the laughing stock of the league. Glad to see JaMarcus go #1, but too bad it was to the Raiders. They are just hurting themselves trying to cheap out. JaMarcus should hold out for #1 money.
  4. what is JR being offered right now. or what was his last offer?
  5. I said that before, its not the amount of money that's the problem. I heard they're offering 30 in guaranteed. But the problem is how "guaranteed" is the money.
  6. Ding! Ding! We have a winner! I was hoping that Russell wouldn't go to the raiders. Al Davis is like 40 years past his peak and should sell the team. Even if they come to an agreement..........the raiders will suck the life out of him because they are not going to commit to building a high caliber team around him.
