he was on conan and he asked him if he'd ever had a breaking point where he just said f it, i cant take it and have the cameramen radio for help. He said he was in his backyard in scotland when it was freezing rain for days straight, 20 below and he had no shelter, fire or anything and was just freezing to death. then up ahead a deer had fallen off a ledge and died. He goes and slices the deer open and sleeps inside the carcass to get warm and spend the night. then he continued. he didnt say if he ate it after he woke up but im sure he couldnt resist.
They must be bloody big deer! I think he watched The Empire Strikes Back too much. I'm really turned off by the faked scenes in Man vs Wild. Survivorman is surviving. Bear is performing.
don't hate b/c he's hardcore and a bit dramatic. :lol: :lol: actually, there was just one non-authentic scene in all of the episodes thus far and that was where for insurances purposes, the network forced him to use a flotation device as he floated down the rapids. he then told them he was doing it his way or he was done. but yes, he's obviously performing and goes over the top which makes it feel staged at times. But he's instructing and teaching many different things that he could not otherwise without his camera crew. the everglades episode was pretty good because growing up in the swamp I could relate to that environment while he showed different things you never think about. Also, reportedly lots more women are watching discovery because he gets naked in half the episodes. So the naked pushups are likely to continue.
