You mean, according to him, he is still a commit verbally. By definition, he hasn't 100% decided. Then why commit and horde a scholly? Kind of selfish and inconsiderate. I may be ol' school; people should keep and honor their word.

I don't see LD going to Bama unless we fill his spot with another recruit this class, which may or may not be by Jason Peters.

Im starting to wonder now about Davis. Part of me really wishes in some ways that his scholarship does get taken from him. I really dislike his integrity. He belongs with someone like $aban. Age or not, you dont go around lying like what he did. He knows better than that, or at least he should. If he is unsure as to what school he wants to I can understand that. However you dont like about taking a vistit, then to say Im still committed, but Ill decide on signing day. I hope Miles does pull his scholarship and give it to someone like Peters.

It appears to me Davis was also lying when he claimed he didnt like $aban from when he recruited his brother. I just cant imagine why a Louisiana kid would want to play for $aban?

At least he did admit it and apologized.
What I cannot understand is why he bad mouthed Saban and still visited him and his program.

I agree, I dont understand the bad mouthing either. Or how Davis claimed he didnt like how his brother was recruited by $aban.

He apologized, but considering he says he is still committed to LSU, Bama is still in the picture doesnt say much about his sincerity. Yes, he is being honest that he is unsure. He should just say that he isnt committing until he knows for show where he wants to be.

I'll never understand this attitude. Why are you personally offended because a kid is trying to make up his mind about the school he wants to attend? This happens every year, you know, with lots of recruits. You are going to have ulcers before you are 20 if you let this crap bother you.

We want this kid and we need to be fighting for him, not wishing he would go somewhere else to compete against us! Sheesh!

On a bit of a sidenote...LD's mom said in an interview today that she wasn't very pleased with the way the LSU staff reacted to LD's visit. She said LD still wanted to attend LSU, but she wasn't pleased with the way the staff treated them Tuesday because they weren't told when they visited that they couldn't visit or be recruited by other schools.

Understand, she wasn't mad about what the LSU staff said about Saban, or the visit...but, not being informed and now being "strong-armed." (for lack of a better description)

Try to find a better definition. If she didin't say "strongarmed" then she wasn't strongarmed.

Two quotes from LD I'll throw at you...take it for what it's worth...never can tell with recruiting.

"The highlight for me was sitting down with Coach [Bo] Davis, looking at the depth chart, and finding out the plan for me if I came to Alabama. The new defense will need big defensive ends, from 260 up to maybe even 290. The opportunity for me is better there than anywhere else."

"Coach Saban is a guy who looks you straight in the eye and tells you the truth," Davis said. "It might not always be good, but that's the type of guy he is. He told me that I was a confirmed need for Alabama. A lot of schools talk about wanting you, but Coach Saban said he needed me. [Mobile-McGill Toolen defensive end] Sidell Corley and me are both big needs for Alabama."
