i'm military and during the first half of the '03 season i was stuck in the philippines. The only way we got to listen to LSU was thru our internet. That makes you feel like your at home when you call guys back home and can still talk about the game. I'm stuck in Oklahoma now and i guess i'll have to find a LA sports station than will stream games, or pay the $$. At least keep the audio free. there are way too many tiger fans around the US and World who depend on lsusports for their football
It's a pretty modest sum to charge for the internet audio. Most major universities have pay radio anyway so...Also, if you have XM, you dont have to worry b/c all the SEC games are on there. I assume though that is is just the home team though.
so LSU should "exclude" fans now? because of their "type"? You sure you're not an Ole Miss fan? why dont you just go on over to their board now? "you know the types" :dis: you are pathetic. who the ________ are you to look down your nose and decide who should be an LSU fan? based on "you know the type" we need less fans like you. Really.... :dis:
Sorry about that. I wasnt thinking. I have both XM and Sirius. I only really use XM though b/c it is where the baseball games are. It was only a matter of time before they would start to charge. I think its fair to charge. Most major universities do it so why not LSU? Plus, as someone mentioned, WWL carries them and that station pipes through loud and clear to a lot of the south.
somehow, me thinks your subliminal message to those who choose not to participate financially was lost in the translation :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:
.:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: What are you doing drinking coffee that late at night?? :thumb: I'm not sure you could have overreacted any more than that. Impressive effort. The "type" I refer to is not in relation to fans. It was a comparison to other events (like I pointed out) that can be quickly ruined by people acting a fool or not appreciating the event. The same people that wouldn't attend if there was a $1 admission fee. I think it's great that LSU has a lot of fans, and hope the legions continue to grow. But I don't recall some divine right to free Internet broadcasting being included for being a fan. They're not charging freaking game ticket prices here, and it's not like half our games won't be on the air anyway! Bottom line: You get what you pay for. Apply this however you choose.
nolimitmd was insinuating all the inner city freeloading black people on the internet. tons of those i bet.
