If it is truly this hard for Benton to qualify how long will he remain eligible if he ever gets in school. Not very promising is it? Playbooks?? I wish the best for him... :geaux:

With our academic center and all of the tutors, it's probably easier to pass the courses at LSU then at a juco. We've seen plenty of kids with academic issues flourish at LSU his decade.

No idea - the guy basically popped up out of nowhere at the recent camp.

    The full quote was:

“I think we got a good start in a lot of places,” Henson said. “Obviously quarterback is a big one. Running back’s good, the offensive line’s in great shape and with what we signed last year, so is cornerback.”

The most pressing voids that remain to be filled for LSU’s staff, Henson said, will be on the defensive side with a pair of safeties, two defensive ends along with another linebacker and interior
lineman. He also said that the Tigers covet a “big” receiver and could use a fullback.

In other words, he says that "the offensive line's in great shape," which indicates that our most pressing voids that remain to be filled would not be on the offensive line. Also, the way the T-P writer explained it, our most pressing voids are all on the defensive side, meaning that he is talking about DT.

Based on Bhelm's 2009 offers thread, here are the offers we have given to the four positions that the LSU recruiting coordinator says are our greatest needs for the rest of the 2009 class (and we only give offers to people we are serious about, people that our coaches are bombing with hand-written letters letting them know how much we'd love to have them).

In response to Benny Logan's grades. As per an interview with Dandy Don he has a 2.5 average and still has to take the ACT. From all indications this guy flew under the radar, but had a great camp. Supposedly he was doing quite well against the Mormon Samoan from Utah. The question is, how do you get so little attention when you are co-mvp of your district with Chris Davenport??? I think that is one hell of an indication that someone thinks you are pretty good. With the revelation that we may take 2 DE's I think this kid has a real chance to get an offer, perhaps a greyshirt.

    Thanks for the grade update.

The most likely reason he is not getting attention is because he is from a small town and has not been to many camps to get evaluated.

So McFarland is a Longhorn? What are your estimated odds on that?
