Me, either, and the last I heard from some of his teammates, he was looking at Nebraska heavily, but that was a couple of months ago.

He carries that team, though. They have a huge game tomorrow in Texas Stadium against Euless Trinity (last year's state champs; beat Plano in the semis; ranked #1 in the nation this year.)

I'd love to have Burkhead at LSU. Assuming it ever happened, it would be exciting to see what we did with him on offense, but he is not physically as big of a guy as Hester. On defense, I could see him being the next Craig Steltz at safety -- which would be awesome.

He may grow some, as well. He's not very large, though. I see him all the time driving around because he lives near my neighborhood. I swear that every middle school boy in Plano has a man crush on "Superman."

If we end up with Randle and Ming a long with Loston. The reason why I said Loston is because BhelmLSU already has him as a commitment. If you go by some of the other recruiting sites LSU has 20 Commitments without Loston. So if you add those 3, it will bring it up to 23. If we end up with 25 the other 2 will just be icing on the cake.

    LSU! LSU! LSU!

Benton will have all 4 years of eligibility. I'm not sure at what point he'd be eligible for the draft though.

I think one has to wait two years after he graduates from high school usually but has he even graduated from Bastrop yet? But then again age may have a factor somehow.

It's 3 years from the time his class graduates HS, to my understanding. That would mean he'd be eligible for the draft after 1 year at LSU (if he qualifies before next season).

But has he even graduated yet?
