I don't know either one but it sounds like there's alot going on that the public doesn't know about. I just hope LSU doesn't pay the price for this. As far as the ticket prices, I'd gladly pay any price to see the Tiger's play....and you'll never hear a bad word from me. As long as my money is going toward the best University in the State...possibly anywhere, then it's ok by me. :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige
That's good, I hope they start charging $3000 a ticket in the section where you usually sit and then the rest of us can save some money thanks to good people like yourself who will never complain and will pay any price. No, but really, it's not about you and the fact that you'll pay any price for LSU tickets and will never say a bad word. I'm sure you're a great fan. Look, LSU fans are about as diehard as it gets. Sure, a lot of them will pay huge amounts to see LSU play even if they hate the fact that the ticket prices are really getting expensive. I mean, you don't even want to know what I paid for my National Championship Sugar Bowl ticket a few years ago. It's about being consistent, doing things the right way and not taking advantage of people. College athletics is getting to be too much of a contradiction. I don't care if all the other big schools are doing it, etc. They're not right either. Players can't have jobs or have people buy them lunch or the NCAA starts investigating and punishing them. Yet, the schools and the NCAA are making millions upon millions and some of the kids just get a free education. It's all a big joke. And see, people used to not have to invest so much money to see these games. Now, when their team loses, they see seriously wasted $ along with the disappointment of their team losing. This makes for a much more hostile environment for coaches and players alike. All I'm saying is, I hope our team keeps winning because if it starts going down some, it'll get ugly much quicker. See, I'm okay, because I'm young and can pay for myself. I just feel sorry for the old fans who have been there forever (and supported us through some misery). It might be getting too pricey for some of them. Also, people who like to bring their kids, etc. It's just getting to be too much. Which one is the business, college or pros?
Jenkins didn't resign willingly. He was forced out by Blanco and her allies on the LSU Board of Supervisors. Bernie Boudreaux is the chairman, and according to Chad Rogers' website (thedeadpelican.com) the national search for his replacement will be a sham. Rumor has it that Sally Clausen and Boudreaux are romantically involved and BB wants SC as LSU System President so he can run the show from his office down the hall. There are other parts to this, like a move to take UNO out of the LSU system and move it to the UL system, a not too unrealistic scenario, given that the coach is a lifer at ULL. This whole scenario stinks to high heaven, but no one should be surprised. It's the same old crap that's been going on over here since the Long days. Corruption, cronyism and incompetence, the guiding principles of the Democrat party.
If LSU does not conduct a national search for a new president, that will be very troubling and may give credibility to many of the rumors going 'round.
